Sometimes. Did you feel your intelligence was being attacked? As if your sanity were in question, and therefore all your decisions and competency were suspect?

Thanks everyone. I'm still having problems. Could it be that my 8 year old Imac is emitting bad stuff? My eyesight is sooo much worse when I spend any time on it, even 5 minutes. Within a minute of looking at the screen I can feel muscles pulling in my eyes. I can't concentrate on reading much, my eyes want so badly to be elsewhere! For someone who's been around for almost hal

Has he had any cranio-sacral done on him? I think I read they have mixed results working on autism at Upledger Inst. Just curious about such things.

I know it doesn't sound filling and satisfying, but if you LIMIT the fat and protein in your diet to only the amount you actually CRAVE, you'll probably find the raw diet works much better for you. I say that from experience. I thought I needed plenty of protein and good fats..just not true - eating them made me crave them and did not make me feel better, except while I ate them. I finally

Try to read lots of threads - you can search topics to narrow it down. Lots of people don't bother with complicated meals. Often a blender for green drinks, is enough. Dehydrating stuff isn't nearly as healthy as eating it fresh. You don't really need to replace everything in a regular diet - though - you might need to for emotional reasons, for the first while. All you really need to do

The first sense of belonging I had when first viewing my house before buying it, was from the cherry trees in the backyard. I actually feel like they care for me, maybe even help and watch over me. It's not something I sought to feel, it just 'was'. My favourite trees are cherry and linden. I love deciduous trees and fields of grass. Ostensibly people are attracted to plant foliage or blosso

Is it from the Dan Millman book, lightform? Are you feeling especially good because you're getting into spring weather? I spent one NZ summer in northland and of course, loved it - Russell, Keri, Whangerei, Kaitaia, 90 mile beach, Auckland, Waitangi Day, heepi farm, etc. However it's cold, wet and darkish here in Vancouver and all I can do is nurse my fond memories of subtropical winter mon

I wonder if that's just to increase tuition profits, Jodi. The DTCM I see for CranioSacral told me that since she got her DTCM, the course hours have increased, thereby adding a year to the tuition. The Int. College of TCM in Vancouver only offers a minimum of information on their website, but tuition for the first year (of 3-5 years) is over $8000, which doesn't include texts, supplies an

I live in Vancouver and it's been 12 weeks so far, I think. One of the best ideas I've ever heard is from Joe Jenkins. He's the guy who has been composting his family's kitchen, garden and HUMAN waste for decades, and using it to fertilize his food garden. This guy is one of MY heros. He's written books about the environment and composting. He GIVES the books to charitable organizati

When my kids were small and taking swim lessons, etc at UBC, I used to buy a soap bar from Lush that was made to neutralize the chlorine in your hair and skin.... then they stopped making it. It did help quite a lot, but wasn't a match for chemicals absorbed after an hour or more in the pool. I think hydrogen peroxide would be my first thought if I had a pool or hot tub, but it's a little c

So you do small business taxes, is that right? Cuz it seems there would be a lot of call for that kind of thing - have you ever thought about doing it as a small business of your own? I know a few small business owners who complain about the difficulty of finding someone to look after their accounts and taxes because they don't need someone full time, only a several hours a month. But the

I often eat raw yams, but don't feel like eating squash. Lots of people eat raw zucchini - they make 'noodles' out of it for raw spaghetti. I am not very experimental with recipes, but there's a recipe section on this website, as well as the section here about recipes. I got the idea to eat yams from someones recipe or post.... but it's pretty well agreed that raw potatoes are NOT good or g

I wonder why they stipulate living 3 or more months in Europe as disqualifying a blood donator.......anyone could fly to France, eat diseased meat, and hightail it outta there a few hours later,.. then come home and give blood a week later.

Lol, So funny, Frances, I'm sure they have to ask, since transgender surgery is so common now......or cross dressing is too? Or maybe that particular nurse got a surprise once! I lived in France in 1980 so I'm not allowed to give blood, but I don't think I have mad cow disease,......though I am a little crazy sometimes. And I do seem to write a lot of runon sentences.

Jodi is that in the Fraser Valley? And it's a personal-use pool or it's a private institution of some kind? Wouldn't a salt-water pool be cheaper and easier to maintain? Not to mention tastier?

Coco makes sense to me : in our culture, healthy women have normal menstruation and we all know what that means. Even pms is considered normal. So when a woman doesn't menstruate in our culture, docs can usually find a cause for it and medicate or operate it back into existence or just provide an explanation for it. Menstruation may be a disease, but women who feel healthy in our cultur
