I'm a dancer, not the respected-within-society kind, but an exotic one. I take the job seriously, and put an artistic slant on my stage work, you know, classical burlesque style, I've often been asked if I ever studied dance due to my show I guess... overall the pole is a great release, being a form of dance without boundaries, unlike most other instructed forms. But yea, my passion, who I am

The way I look at it is like when a person who drinks daily in moderation stops for a few days or a week or so, then goes back and has his normal number of brews, the body will react more strongly after being pure for awhile... I've noticed what you said happens to me as well!

Well I went and ate some sashimi last night, in fear my body would not have what it needed to heal the wound, and it's really funny, I used to love the stuff and it really did not taste amazing to me anymore like it used to, it tasted like, well, dead fish (but it was fine quality, no fishy smell etc.). I am seriously beginning to think I can go vegan now! That was the one thing I was afraid wo

It might be called a "pummello" or plummelo, not sure. It looks like a giant sorta green/yellow grapefruit, tastes like a grapefruit with sugar on it. I would definitely try persimmons too, they kick butt! If you do try them though, make sure they are soft and sorta squishy before eating them, otherwise some areas tend to have a very unusual bitter flavor. I really wanna find a dur

Apples keep great in any section of the fridge (especially if you get red delicious I've noticed), I've had some keep up to a month! A big container of spinach (check to make sure there are no leaves with "wet" looking edges on the bottom, etc before buying one) tends to keep about a week, I've noticed organic actually keeps longer than your average spinach.

Yea... I normally grab the pit by poking it, normally on the cutting board, but this pit it turns up was softer than usual, and being an idiot (you always have that "you're gonna hurt yourself" vibe right before you do!), I did this in my hand, and it went right through the bad pit and avocado into my palm! Checked on it today and the wound seems to have closed... so far so good!

I have them on my lower back, in the area where most people get tattoos, I've always been VERY self conscious about them, got them when I was 13 and became a bean pole who had a butt lol. Anywho, I'm there with Shaine, is there any way to get rid of these old ones, I have to stay white as a ghost normally because the second sun hits them they stand out as bright white lines across a tan lower

Everyone goes raw to a different "%", most dream of being 100% raw, but some feel fine with 75% or between, so to answer the too little/too much question, do what your body wants and adjust to where you feel comfortable, the slower the transition the better for most. When it comes down to cost (and nutrient bang for your buck), I normally buy huge bulk bags of apples, big bulk packag

Hmmm... I do have kiwis and pineapple in my fridge, and I adore grapefruits, so I'll have to stock up. I used to have pet rats (not as bad as people make them sound!), and they would do the same thing to my tops of my shoulders, as they would sit up there when I was running around the house. I had a banana and two persimmons for breakfast today, hopefully those fruits help too (even though bana

Thanks so much for the suggestions, it's a little funny cause normally I'm a fruit girl and I've been craving a second spinach salad today (that's what I was making when I cut myself)... so we'll see how the healing process goes! I am relatively new to raw foods, having a 3 month stint into it last winter, and went raw (except for a few minor slips) at the end of October, this little voice has b

It's all cleaned up n all now, but I was wondering if anyone knows of any good raw foods to promote healing. I have heard many raw fooders say that they do not heal as fast as they used to on raw, and I have noticed a bit of it when it comes to blemishes, etc, so I'm a bit worried. It is uncomfortable to grasp things right now and I would like to heal this up as soon as I can!

It makes me wonder if the creative mind state is what is truly evolving (not the ability to regurgitate information, what most educational institutions aim for)...?

Alright I know I've been slackin on the raw diary, been quite busy with work and some classes for Search and Rescue lately (read: like 3 hrs of sleep a night for the past couple... lame!) Had a great raw day yesterday and so far today too. So far today: 1/2 a plummelo Big salad w/ spinach, tomatos, cucumbers, and broccoli Some mango salsa w/ cauliflower to dip in it A banana Some grape

sewraw and Sunshine... same here, I didn't loose weight initially but my whole body reshaped, with more slender waist and limbs, with a perkier (not fatter though), but and bigger bosom! I just look healthier overall and my cellulite has gone down quite a bit (used to have some on my butt!)

I wound up eating more yesterday: an avocado & spinach salad, plus I think I had some grapes n bananas... don't recall! Today so far: *Banana *Grapes *Pineapple salsa w/ red pepper strips to dip! *More pineapple salsa w/ garlic over a bed of baby spinach w/ avocados (can you tell I like the salsa? lol) I was starting to worry how I would afford to eat raw w/ no Super Walmart near

On the topic of why we tend to binge/etc at night, once I read an article that said it is the dim lighting's effect... maybe try putting some kind of halogen lamp in your kitchen so every time you turn it on it peps you out of the eating SAD food mood? Last night I was shocked that after a night out on the town with friends I came home and didn't even think of binging on SAD (normally the litt

Now is not the time to give in to cooked foods! If your body craves it, try it but only in small amounts, most likely you'll prefer your raw cuisine due to the light and awesome energy it provides (cooked always makes me feel so heavy and bogged down!) Congrats on all the weight you've lost raw! (definitely an inspiration!)

Thanks for the good wishes Karrie! I've had many problems with food before myself, mostly involving anorexia, bulimia, and most recently, just binging on SAD, so I have a lot to overcome. I'm happy I've returned to raw though, back a year ago when I discovered it a little voice inside told me it was what I needed to heal myself mentally and physically, and that little voice never went away even

thank you aquadecoco! I can't wait to make it my first week straight, in the past whenever trying I never quite made it that far! It's really unfortunate your mother reacted to your veganism the way she did, my own mom gets a little boggled about what I eat (is this raw? No... mom, you have to heat that to m

Alright, I used have eating probs, anorexia which became fasting bulimia which just became binging. I want to start a blog so I can finally commit to 100% (well as realistically close as I can get), and turn around this vicious cycle, getting back to mental health (always feels great being raw, so much less anxiety n OCD), as well as a physical health and a slender, natural weight! I totally feel for you with this... I've had the same exact problem, anorexia (at my lowest I was 104 at 5'5", then morphed into fasting bulimia, which KILLED my metabolism, then once I tried to just eat healthy my body stored everything (plus the calories from bulimia were still there). Anyone who knows me would say I look average, or even on the slim side, but I still feel huge because I w

I believe trees have quite an energy source... I've always been able to sense some spirits of those who have gone, and the energy of others... when I went raw for 3 straight months last winter I found upon laying my hands on a tree... I could feel it's level of health... I was in the woods for a volunteer event and was a bit bored at the moment... in a silly mood I placed my hands on the tree an
