Denise, keep reading . . . Dr. Graham states to eat enough food for your calorie needs only. The menus are just sample guidelines, they are for a 2,000 calorie intake, which isn't for everyone he says. Adjust as needed, he is only trying to show you one way it can work. I see misunderstadnings like this time and time again, and it always surprises me how Dr. Graham has been misunderstood and m

I have had digestive issues worse than most and it took a solid year just to get myself somewhat stable with raw foods. I still suffered then, and it has been a long journey and an extremely enlightening one. It can be done but you must want to get well at ALL costs. So few really do unfortunately. In addition, you must stick to something for a period of time and be very, very patient. I had

Any digestive issue can be handled 100% raw. The key is simply DO NOT eat what irritates and EAT what doesn't irritate. Find that mix, take ALL guru's with a grain of salt and above all else be PATIENT, PATIENT, PATIENT. You need to create your own style of eating, if you live off of only 2 foods for a period of time, so be it. It takes time to rebuild and get to that even road. Most people avera

Hey there Wendy, how are things? - you seem to be approaching things very erratic it seems to me from what I'm getting from your descriptions. Instead of playing doctor and doing alot of assuming , maybe just e-mail Dr. Graham and try a consult?? Have you read the book yet also?? Don't overthink it so much, yet try to keep more balanced for longer periods perhaps. Things such as all fruit challen

She is correct that raw foods can be stressing on digestion for people dealing with issues. It would be unfortunate to falsely believe otherwise. The simple thing is too just avoid those foods while remaining 100% raw if desired. Don't complicate it. The blood type diet is just a guideline that may or not be considered. It works for some at certain stages of eating and is unneeded by others fu

F1, why do you bother posting if you are never happy with everyone's responses and seem so easily "bored" or "drained" as you put it then? Wouldn't it be a better choice to just live your life apart from this then?? Just askin', don't get all defensive on me please.

Been there myself - Dave Klein only speaks from his experiences and doesn't hold any new answers unfortunately. I wasted money on him once. BUT, he may help her with a consult. His book helps those new to raw foods though and would be suggested to purchase. I would first decide how you want to tackle the situation. Considering she is new to raw it can be very, very trying for her to deal with

Be very, very careful. At one point, after many years I tried various, what others would consider healthier cooked foods. I then paid dearly for it, and this would be an understatement. It's not something that will always be obvious either to notice. Anotherwords, you don't eat and then get a stomach ache. It can come about as a slow unfelt progression. Whatever the case, be careful whoever or

Not quite sure how that would help - I'd just say stick to doing the best you can, as long as you always have site of the goal.

Sorry if I gave the impression of having asthma. I dealt with other issues but the story is the same for sure :O) So what is best for me may not be for anyone else. I quickly found no over fats, mono-meals, smaller meals, eating with focus and only when hungry work very well and I imagine would for anyone in most cases. Lettuce greens and celery were 2 things I couldn't handle in any form, so

I feel for you and have been in the same place myself. I just kept tweaking my diet. Since there are many, many, many ways to eat raw I got myself to where I felt it is the best it can be for me. Who cares what everyone else does is what it came down to. Even then I understood issues still would come up, but I was giving my system the best conditions to deal with it and such is life. I carried on

Work used to be tough for me also. It was clearly mental. Everytime I went to surf the net, I felt hungry and had to eat. Everyone else ate, I felt the need to eat. The list goes on. Tough habits to break for sure but I got over it. As soon as I realized it was mental, I worked on it from that aspect. Maybe bring less food, eat more simply or don't eat till such and such a time. Tell yourse

Mono Meals is a nice suggestion, BUT Rachel has been raw only 2 and a half months. Mono Meals thus can be quite a challenge in this instance. If anything, get more educated and keep it simple as much as you are comfortable with. Don't force it or chances are you won't stick out the long run.

2 and a half months is way to short to judge. Keep moving forward and educating yourself in raw food eating. Don't over complicate everything and you will get to where you desire. It may take a few more months or another year. The point is once you are there, you are there for life and will not give it a second thought. Keep thinking lifestyle change, not weight loss plan. Experiment with

What kind of raw diet is he eating and how long has he been raw. What is the climate like you live in are a few questions I think would help get some guesses for you to start. From my experiences with other ailments there can be relapses and alot of times the problem might have never left but raw foods helped subdue them. As you may know mental state, exercise, etc., etc also play a role. Mayb

Your process actually was what I did to get myself in line initially. Even now, whatever else I try(or have ever tried in my past), I always come back to the smaller mono-meal approach when it's time to eat something. I also think it's a matter of eating enough, as opposed to just eating less and underconsuming :O)

With Dr. Graham's approach many have had success. There is no denying that. I have found those that fail usually incorrectly realize the amount of fat they have in their diet or leave out mentioning some additional detail of what they eat. Judging from what your friend wrote though, Dr. Graham may be a big shift in viewpoint which I question him actually following correctly then. There are too ma
