Thank you! That may help with the straight off the corn cob taste. I see on Living Raw Recipes that there is a corn chip and it states to grind the corn fine; mine was still a little kernally.

Hi, I got this idea from some posts this week about rawcos (tacos) and then one of corn chips. You have to have a day in advance to prepare. Soak walnuts and pumpkin seeds in water overnight. I changed the water once. Grind fresh corn cut off the cob in a food processor, then add enough water to make a batter. If it is too runny, you can drain it later. Spread the batter on teflex s

Thank you for this discussion. I went to and read his article on buckwheat greens and it is frightening. He says the seed, or grouts, don't cause the problem. Carol, thank god you were able to diagnose yourself. It is testimony to 'everything in moderation'. I can't find grouts around here, not even at our health food store or Whole Foods, so am getting them from Barry Farm. I want to

I found a recipe in which the corn kernels are processed with some cumin and garlic and then placed in the dehydrator for a while just so it will hold together, and then used for enchiladas.

Although the arguing makes me nervous, the posts have some educational value for new vegans such as myself. I am looking at nature and animals in a different light these days. I also can't imagine eating animal products raw and unpasteurized. It is too dangerous. I live in the most densely populated region in the US, so anything that is raised here is suspect in my estimation due to the pollut

Please tell me exactly what you are eating so I can try it. Still just one pound weight loss in five weeks of 100% raw. I couldn't be eating that many nuts, could I? Anyway, congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! suzie

I was traveling last week and found Raw Revolution bars at Whole Foods in a town I was in. I thought they were delish. The Chocolate Cashew bar was high calorie and 91% raw according to the label. There is also a spiralina bar with some kind of nut, I have forgotten which, and that was good as well. Fat makes things so nice and moist, so I felt like I was eating something that wasn't made to t

Great List! Preparation will help me resist temptation. I've been flying a lot lately and noticed that there is truly nothing raw in many airports. Philadelphia has a Saladworks, but trying to find one that is vegetarian without pasta in it is difficult. The comment about TV was right on. Last night, I happened on Diners,Drive ins and Dives. The gentleman who is the host, Guy, was literall

Eating raw is slowly showing benefits that I don't want to lose. that is the biggest motivator to keep on track. I don't think I would have an easy time getting back to raw if I ate something cooked. I still cook for my husband although he is capable of cooking for himself. The food doesn't tempt me. What does is dreaming about diner food. I do live in NJ. Thankfully, that is starting to di

thank you all so much for the wonderful advice. I broke down and weighed myself this morning and the needle moved. I am floating on air. Also, I have read that people use their juicers to grind the garbanzo beans into more of a light puree, so I will try that. Suzie

thank you so much for the fried rice info. I made it last night and it was delish! I didn't have the tamari, but used a little soy sauce and lemon juice. Left out the sunflower seeds because of my lack of loss of weight issues; have been told I may be eating too many seeds and nuts which is true. I could have eaten the entire bowl of salad. Suzie

HI, I don't have a recipe, but I saved the container the falafels came in and its the standard ingredients; garbanzo beans, tahini, sesame seeds, cumin, parsely, mint, salt and garlic. I was looking at the box that the falafel mix comes in and it is the same ingredients except instead of the sprouted beans, garbanzo flour is substituted. I'll let you know how they turn out. I also made hummu

I was getting ready to write a long post about how discouraged I am that I have been eating raw for three weeks and have lost not a pound of weight. I think your post answered why I haven't. Although I have been trying to watch calories, I'm sure now that I am eating too many nuts. Also, I do feel better and think my skin might be smoother and arthritis a little better, so I am totally motivat
