I agree with the making raw chocolate idea - I make it sometimes and it tastes better than commercial chocolate bars... Also you can google EFT (emotional freedom technique) and find the instructions online and use the procedure for your chocolate cravings - in my experience it really works. Also are you getting calories from your diet that you have so many cravings?

if you look up Hunza people they certainly seem to be thriving without bananas or dates as part of their traditional diet...

powerlifer when I took a lot of antibiotics some years ago I got a lot of local yeast infections (thrush, fingernails, itchy scalp and athletes foot). At the same kind I got major fatigue and sleepiness. I did not have that before. I also got a lot of other symtpoms on the candida list coincidentally at about the same time. How would you explain them (ie the fatigue) if they are not due to candid

since dates grow only in hot desert like climates such as Arabia, I would very much doubt that all humans evolved with access to date palms....so I would imagine from that that it should be fully possible for humans to thrive without dates....

I also get this problem. My husband too and it is frustrating as we are trying to eat very nutritious high raw food, taking spirulina and moringa powder for extra vitamins, and I did a 10 day fast as well to cleanse. the main culprits for me are tomatoes and pineapples. This is not a permanent solution, but the best thing I have found to heal fast a crop of mouth ulcers is painting them with

if you feel fit and healthy in other ways you could just accept that that is your body size and stop worrying about it and focus on other things since you are not really overweight or anything. However if that is not possible for you you could try EFT to try and remove any emotional blockages to either losing weight or accepting your current body size. I also read an article recently from an A

>The Ultimate Goal is to rise above any crowd.???? that sounds strange If we are talking about buddha the ultimate goal is not to rise above any crowd. It is enlightenment which leads to a feeling oneness and not feeling ourselves above people. That is anyway my opinion. You may get a healthy joyful feeling from great diet but that is not Nirvana..... about the maca I dont think I took

powerlifer you talk about coffee giving fatigue and adrenal burnout. But I checked your site the other day and saw you recommend maca powder which surprised me a little.... my experience with maca taken in reasonable quantities was an few days energy burst followed by weeks of extreme fatigue so I finally gave up on it even though my supplier reckoned I'd eventually come OK. I dont know it its s

Hi - I have never in my life before paid much attention to calorie counting or rDA of minerals. However recently I'm paying more attention to diet - greatly upping raw foods eaten and I'm close to vegan. I understand from a little research that its quite easy to get the RDA amount of most vitamins such as vitamin C and B's etc from food. However I'm finding it harder to work out for minerals su

I also got extremely tired from drinking noni juice (I was picking and juicing it locally but only in small amounts) together with strange vivid dreams. I wonder why I get the opposite reaction of what it is supposed to do...I stuck with it for 3 weeks before I had to give up.

yes I know but its tomato thats one of the main ones for me that is coming bitter - but I was meaning in Spain it doesnt happen like that with a garlic tomato combo so I dont know why mine should...

Well garlic seems like it might be the culprit so I'll make them without garlic and see if the bitterness goes although I dont know about homous without garlic being that interesting... - the garlic doesnt make problem in carrot based dip though and also gazpacho contains a lot of tomato and garlic and I never remember it being bitter in Spain...but maybe Indian garlic is different in some way...

SOrry this may be a bit of a trivial questions compared to the serious topics discussed here but: i'm experimenting making different raw salad dressings and dips. I'm finding with several of my concotions that I'm getting a slight bitter aftertaste that ruins what at first seems like something really good. but in each case the original ingredients are not bitter. So it seems like two ingredients

I very much doubt about the shooting blood clots all over the body!!! I took fasting in a centre some months ago and there were many overweight people there. We were all instructed to rest as much as possible while the cleaning/healing process was going on - except some people did a bit of walking. I only heard of it doing good to people and I got a lot of benefit after even though I was lying

Yoga texts often recommend control of eating onion and garlic because of stimulating effects - especially to stimulating sex drive which is not conducive to meditation. I don't know the science behind it however I belive that yoga as an ancient science has a lot of wisdom in it. Some things are not easy to prove through science but work on a more subtle level. Having said that I think in India t

"I have reactions to most deorants, so I usually try to get away with minimal use, and hopefully not offend anyone." I use Himalaya salt as a deoderant - It works pretty well....I might not rely on in if I was going for a job interview on a very hot day or something but for normal day to day use it seems fine for me...

maybe post examples of what you are currently eating and see if any people with more experience can give suggestions ? without knowing what you are eating it may be harder for people to help.

I would also agree that it would be normal to debate such a thing as b12 issues on a vegan forum....in my own case as I originally opened this post I just thought it would be sensible to take some supplements while travelling because the body is exposed to some extra stresses and often restaurant food in India isn't that healthy... I know a few vegans and none of them seem to have the B12 issues

I saw one brand rainbow light that had a good value pack of 150 including probiotic but they make either mens or womens - the only difference I can see is that the mens one contains some saw palmetto and tomato extract - would there be any problem in a women taking a low dose of saw palmetto - then we can just get one bottle for both? I also saw a product called ALIVE which has a lot of natural

I agree about the powders being good but its a bit harder to travel with....the vitamin code looks good although a bit low on zinc that I think I might be a bit deficient in...but is it safe or good to take over 1000% the recommended daily dose of various B vitamins? thank you!!!!!

Hi, I am soon going to be going travelling. I normally dont take any supplements except moringa powder which I see more as a food. But we are going travelling soon and I know my diet wont be that great. I'm thinking to take a multivitamin / mineral. But what I can buy locally where I live tends to have gelatin and artificial colourants. Can anyone recommend me the most natural kind of product to

I also get monster cramps. They have got better by about 50% since I practiced the buteyko technique which is connected to how you breath. Strange though it may sound this has helped me more than the multitude of healthsupplements, herbs, diet changes, fasting etc. that I tried before. And I did try magnesium for quite a long time. For mild eating disorder I would recommend EFT more than anythi

The whole idea of ant extract and deer placenta seems like complete madness to me - like someone has got overly obsessed with finding a magic health supplement....surely there are enough normal easy to obtain health supplements around without needing deer placenta!!!! I dont know anything about David Wolfe as I am not very into the raw food world but it sounds like he may have gone a bit crazy...

I know goji berries are in the nightshade family but I would have thought they were quite far removed since you can eat the leaves in salads or soups raw and they are part of Chinese diet (I was told that by someone who cultivates goji). Most other nightshade family members you can't eat the leaves.

I dont seem to get any major stimulant effect from cocoa whereas I normally feel the effects of a cup of tea pretty strongly... I dont think I'd find cocoa addictive if it was blended with other things in a smoothie and no strong chocolate taste... But if you use it made into a raw food chocolate with nuts, dates, coconut oil etc. it tastes like a really great dark chocolate brownie and I could

I'm finding good results from moringa powder as a green supplement - feel more effect than I did even with fresh wheatgrass juice. But I would agree fresh leafy greens are better if you can afford enough of them and get organic ones... I love cacao but I am sure it is addictive for some people like myself so would agree with what is said here - have now and then as a treat not as a thing to have
