I think its silly to say raw green powders are only 1% effective. I take moringa powder and have felt the benefits -also spirulina. A nutritional analysis of moringa powder shows that it is loaded with vitamins and minerals - 3 tbs a day provides RDA of most vitamins and minerals for although I'm not saying we should take that much. I would think the most economical way to make a good green powd

I grew and juiced wheatgrass for a couple of months. I found the taste to be really hard to stomach and normally I dont mind taking bitter herbal things etc. but the sweetness of the wheatgrass was really hard for me. I didnt feel any change in my health either. It sometimes made me nauseated which I have heard is a cleansing reaction but I am not sure about that. Since I have been taking morin

I love salads but sometimes I also find it hard to chomp my way through a big plate of it. I got this link today in my email so it may help a little: Also check in the recipe forum - I made a post about mango - sapote recipes recently and alot of salad dressing ideas were posted there. Other obvious thing is to get some recipe books and experiment because even non raw cookbooks often have a

If the problem has just been occuring in the last few days, is there anything new you've started eating recently, or been eating more of than usual? It may be that there is just one or two foods you need to avoid or cut down on. I have been having a bit of the same problem recently - but I think I've linked it to eating mangoes which I've suddenly been eating a lot of as they're in season. I f

its very easy to grow if you have a garden - once you grow one you can generate more from just a branch stuck in the ground and it doesnt need great soil or anything. But growing it in a pot is not the best way because it becomes a big tree and grows pretty fast... you can buy the powder also which is very nutritious.

I also had a bad reaction to Maca - after some days of feeling very energetic on it I became extremely tired. I tried to continue on it for a few weeks since it is supposed to be good for hormone balancing and the company told me the fatigue would pass but the tiredness was so overwhelming that I had to stop it. I was not taking big dose of it (I think less than 2 tsp per day) and I tried 2 diffe

I'm not sure if bananas are grown with that many pesticides? Just wondering because the ones in our garden dont seem to be prone to any kind of pest attack at all....I dont know about chemicals connected to the ripening process though...

10 hours sounds way exaggerated and over the top however incredible the sex might be.Too much of any good thing.I wouldn't want to be his partner.... Having said that it is interesting how radically his conciousness has shifted by eating raw and how eating influences the mind as much as the body- he would feel it more than many as his diet before was probably high meat and cooked. I didn't pers

The problem with rules is that they are all so contradictory. Macrobiotics recommends a lot of cooked brown rice and little raw food.....some places say soya is the best thing for women and others that it is a poison, similarily with flax seeds....some say Himalaya salt is a great health tonic but on this forum I've heard people say avoid it....and some people say eating a lot of fruit aggravates

I've had that lump in throat feeling because of hyperventilation syndrome but I have no idea how it would relate to raw food. Are you getting any other acid reflux symptoms such as acid burping etc.? It may well just clear up on its own - otherwise I guess consult a doctor.

Hi - banana who - my periods are exactly the same - I also resort to naproxen because its the only thing that is strong enough - I have tried SO many herbs, eliminating wheat, dairy etc., fasting, acupuncture etc.etc. but in my case I have recently found out I have endometriosis (not fibroids).....The one thing that has made a reduction although not elimination of pain and difficulty is the butey

Tamukha thank you for the clarification about the high fat raw diet. I guess my inclination right now is to just eat a balance of everything fresh but not go over on the nuts and oils. The gourmet type of diet seems to me like something to eat now and then rather than all the time as the recipes are a bit complicated. Also they nearly all involve dehydrators. I dont have one. I dont see that as

When I took a fast I couldnt stand any strong smells - my husband used some hair conditioner that I normally wouldnt notice but I couldnt bear the smell of it when he came near me and I had to get him to buy a new soap also as i couldnt take the smell of the one we normally use even though it is supposed to be natural. Its one thing that worries me about becoming 100% raw - from reading this

At the moment we have an abundant supply of mangoes and sapote - very cheap ....we are eating them plain, and also making a smoothie with mango, sapote and a bit of vanilla extract which is really good. But would like any other ideas for good recipes for either of them - I have thought of some kind of mango salad dressing but no idea how to make it? Thank you for any ideas...

A bit sad about having this type of message posted here....it would be nice if a moderator could remove posts that are basically slanging matches that people could have by contacting each other directly if they which to do so.... It seems sad that high fruit eaters that I am coming across seem to thrive on putting other people down and critizing ....kind of puts me off that kind of diet as i don

so I assmue since you have been eating raw for 5 years you feel much better on that type of diet. But do you enjoy that diet - ie eating mostly sweet and not savoury things, and did you at the start or did you take some time to adapt to it and if so how long did it take to actually like eating so much fruit?/ Thank you!

I have read that coconut oil is very good against candida so I'm going to stick with it for now. Its good to know that its possible to overcome candida while eating fruit because I've never felt good about cutting it out of my diet for long periods of time as some candida programs advocate.

thanks for the replies I guess I'm more stuck on savoury carbohydrate foods like rice than fatty foods as far as craving go...and I know some raw food eaters would say to eat more fruit as the solution, but somehow it doesnt seem to work for me - but I have never eaten 30 (or even 10) bananas at a time either because psychologically it is still too difficult to get them down. But I'm upping the

I am inspired in some ways about the idea of high fruit diet and have been gradually been upping my fruit intake recently, but I'm not sure about some things... I guess its Ok for a person who has a tendancy to putting on weight to say you wont get skinny, but what about for a person who finds it hard to keep weight on? Also I've heard mixed reports about whether alot of fruit feeds candida o

Hello, I have been reading on this forum about different types of raw food diet - like high fruit, high fat etc. The high fat raw diet is often slated. I would like to know the following, How much is considered high fat and where do the high fats people talk about normally come from? nuts or avacado, or oils in salad dressing? How much of these things can be eaten without it being conside

I read an article about using EFT for cravings and the thing seems to be to be very specific about what you are craving when you make the set up statement. Direct tapping you should be able to do alone quite easily - if you want to get at any emotional issues underlying the cravings than a practitioner may help. If there are more physical causes underlying the cravings than you could post here
