Why not use natural oils and generally look after your feet regularly, it will take perhaps longer to restore your feet to a nice state but once you start taking care of them, they won't get back to the dry cracked state.

Very often, almost everyday I don't do rich ice-creams, just banana, strawberry (or mango, blueberry, blackberry etc) and a small cube of almond milk - so i can afford to have it as a regular dessert. At the moment i'm back to using a hand blender (a new one). I like it more than the food processor because it is easier to make smaller portions. In food processor just one banana does not get bl

I've also recently become raw, since May. There are a lot of theories as to which is the best approach, and ultimately you will have to decide for yourself which one makes better sense. This is because there will be arguments from either side. Personally I refrained from jumping on any bandwagon, until ive researched the matter sufficiently to make up my mind about it. (This was including raw

The best way is to dry it yourself, depending on location nettle is often the easiest thing to get your hands on (just step outside and look around!) The only thing I think it is better to collect nettle in early spring, when the plant is young.

Complete and balanced protein is not a nonsense, it's a fact, but if the person has a varied diet the chances are things will balance out.

Yeh I suppose so - and you can drink some water as well in between juices. I'm not sure if it's true, but I suppose some detoxification is going on while people are fasting, and liquid helps to remove nasties from the body. So theoretically, the more liquid the better. When I do water fasts I add a tiny drop of lemon juice in my water, with the view that it has "cleaning" properties

There doesn't seem to be a data on this yet, i suspect because of the variables involved in making the milk (the amount of water, the blending process, etc). I usually take into account nutrients of almonds, simply. I would never throw away the pulp, which I normally add later in the day to a tabouleh or salad. So even though I've made a milk, in the end I consumed the same almonds, so making

Thanks guys for your suggestions about iodine and nettle, I'm gonna make sure I have plenty in my diet. I already have various seaweeds stashed in my cupboard, and put a pinch of one or the other with most meals. About nettle, would one want to eat it raw (add it to salads for example), or would nettle tea work as well? I also heard that it is stimulating for the scalp to rub some sea salt

Depends on the juice? Some are more rich than others, not to mention different nutrient content. If you are interested in the amount of liquid, generally it is recommended to drink at least 3 litres a day. So if you were doing water fast, this would be the recommended amount.

P.s. it's off-topic of course, but you mentioned it, and I asked, because the answer wasn't evident in your post. On the subject of raw potatoes though - many plant foods have complete protein, but most of the time it is imbalanced (that is, the proportions of one or the other amino acids are inadequate). There are few exceptions here, but potato doesn't seem to be one of them (it is low in

^ No idea what baby in a crib will go for, but what does it have to do with logic? See I'm interested in logical arguments, hence was the question.

Which minerals, vitamins, foods are good for hair? I've always had a bit of a problem here, my hair grows very fast but I also lose it. Not in a sense of becoming bald as I have a lot of hair! but in a sense that every time I brush it there is some hair on the brush, more than would seem normal. And I noticed that perhaps it is a little bit worse now that I'm raw. So Im wondering what would be

I just bought potassium alum based deodorant. The ingredient list is potassium alum, aqua, glycerin, and xanthan gum. They specifically say that all ingredients are of natural origin, and the wiki page on potassium alum states that it is a naturally occurring sulfate mineral which typically occurs as encrustations on rocks.

Yes, calorie counting is common knowledge, but what is the problem with fruits then? Calories don't come from nuts only, they come from fruits as well, and a lot of them. If you eat excess of fruits, it is likely that you eat excess of calories, and because you eat excess of calories you become fat. Pretty straightforward and, as you said, common knowledge

If you want to lose weight, most effective way is to watch your calories. To this extent it matters not very much from where the calories come from: sugar, fat, or anything else. If you eat less calories than your body needs for energy, you will lose weight. And if you eat more calories than the body needs for energy, you will gain weight.

And another breakfast: romaine lettuce, banana, kiwi, apple, blackberries (from the garden!) and a bit of wild raw honey. These are ingredients I would normally put in a smoothie, but I'm still off smoothies so just chopping them in a salad makes the trick!

BW, I wonder what does your above post qualify as, according to the book "Games People Play" To me it sounds together: confused - "I will be happy when this thread has left (or not constantly bumped up to the top, as I am doing myself, LOL)" malicious - "This is one of those "I'm-taking-my-ball-and-going-home" posts.
