hey great idea, when ever i make raw meals, he always says they look good but will never try them. so instead of just a salad, a raw pizza is a great idea. thanks. this will really show him that im determined to go on the right path and enjoying myself at the same time. it would be so awesome if he would start eating raw with me but i dont see that happening anytime soon. at least i got him e

ive actually never tried it, but i just thought that since its tastes so much like water with a really good crisp. when i make raw tacos i use soy sauce even tho it isnt raw, but it really asorbs the flavor after just sprinkling some on when im ready to eat them. they take on the flavor that fast, they must do good in marination. we should try it together and report back good luck. hope it

thanks, i saw some tee tree oil at trader joes and heading tomorrow to get some. yeah, i was thinking about how the blemish stick just might not do it too. thanks for giving me the nudge to get pure tee tree oil. and i dont know why but i didnt think about light socks...ive been wearing like thick boot socks. that might help alot because i know it feeds on heat and moisture. thanks

hey flipperjan, what you said about the bread vs raw fruits veggies reminded me of when i watched this debate on u tube of the best diet from well educated people. i get the same way, i could eat a bundle of spaghetti since its still vegan and keep eating because i dont feel psycholoicaly full but with raw foods i seem to listen to my body more and my hunger stays away longer. anyways, the de

this is a really good post. this is my third time going raw. i remember my first time i was really good for like the first week without cheating and then i just started eating unraw foods because i was thinking i wasnt eating enough. thats what got me off the first time. but people have been so helpful by saying eat what your body needs and asks for. its alot easier this time when i am just liste

well, first i have to say congrats for being raw since 01, thants amazing. i have just started a couple of days ago and cant wait till i can say i have been doing raw for as long as you have. even when on the SAD diet, mulit vits give me a belly ache too. i have always tried crushing them and putting them in my smoothies or something. i wonder if that could work or if the smoothie would just

hey EZ rider i totally agree, just avoiding first bite is best. im so glad im transitioning to raw because when i was eating the SAD, i would eat out of boredom, taste, addiction. i would love it if i could come out of this struggle being a 100% raw foodist that eats for survival rather than an addictive behavior and taste. that is my ultimate goal. but anyways, it seems like i forget what thi

hello petpeevegirl, you are so right, its a food trap we let ourselves fall into. its funny, i never thought that i would have an addiction with anything and who would have known i would have had one with food. its crazy. and just when i start this raw food journey, my bf says we will be having pizza to celebrate his getting into the army reserves (only a celebration for him- i dont want him

thanks for all the insight. ill be using natural toothpaste from now on. the distilled water i would really like to try. anything that helps get impurities out of my body is best. i drink bottled water anyway, but im not sure if it is distilled. i wonder how long you could do a water fast just to get all the impurities out? i have never really fasted before, but i want to try like one soon. i hea

this really scares me. i have just bought some natural toothpaste, shampoo/condit, soap, ect. but yesterday i just used the regular toothpaste because it has more of a minty taste. the thing that scares me is that my bf and i were both brushing our teeth and i had some much in my mouth and needed to spit right away. he is a major sink hog lol and i didnt have time to spit. i think my body jus

hey wendysmiling, its great to hear that you are trying solid foods. sometimes i can feel the same way. one day pineapple is great for me and another my mouth feels like i just ate acid. our bodies have a mind of their own. its a great goal to not have to not need tube or needle feedings! you have a great final outcome to look forward to. i have heard that lettuce is the hardest to digest becau

hello la_veronique, i never knew they had red jalapenos! thats awesome. ill try to add it to my salsa for a kick but not too much. i heard the real spicyness comes from the seeds themselves. i could be wrong cause that is just hearsay. but i love red bell peppers, i wonder if red jalapenos taste the same. thanks for the info, now i have to try it and get back to you soon

hey suspendedindefinitely, i feel the same way. i sometimes get too stressed out or havent eaten all day and then just make justifications as why i can have fast food or something. yeah, small steps is great for me. so far.. eating raw breakfastes is so easy cause i love fruit. lunch and dinner are harder for me because i love my veggies cooked. im going to try to eat a raw breakfast, try for a

thats awsome that you ordered and fought your temptations. its hard for me too. i just started yesterday but in the past when i was simply vegan..i would eat non vegan items at a restaurant just to beat the emberassment of customizing orders. now i feel confident to succeed and stay on my path without straying. congrats on fighting the temptations.

its so inspiring to see these interview of someone 18 years and going. i keep hearing...after too long your body will go into starvation mode and so on and so forth. i keep trying to defend by saying if you do it the right way, correct calories, nutrients, etc. its great to hear a success story of someone being raw for 18...its real encouragement. thanks for sharing =)

thanks again. yeah, your idea of smaller goals graduating to higher ones is a great start. that way i can be proud of myself rather than disappointed about the whole gigantic goal of mine. then i could look at what i accomplished as apposed to what i failed again at. oh yeah, the salsa was oober good. just some tomatoes, yellow onion and cilantro. i skipped the jalapeno part since im a wimp.

thats a good perspective....just take small steps at a time. thanks, that is great incouragement rather than me setting all these expectations and overwhelming myself. so far my first day has been great. a fruit filled breakfast and then i made my own salsa to put in lettuce wraps for lunch.

im starting my raw food lifestyle again tomorrow. i have tried this before and the more i eat raw veggies, the more i like them. try it, even though you may not like them at first, you may begin to like them over time. i need to work on that with zuccini, i only like it cooked but im going to try my theory on that. and if it doesnt work...we just will eat other fruits and veggies that we already
