F1 you're more powerful than you think. I know you know you're powerfully capable, but you're a leader dude and it's already too late. Whatever you write, people will start to put in a box and begin digging around for more answers. You're damned if you do and damned if you don't say the right thing. It's a part of your path...being a leader that is. Resistance is futile and just makes it worse.

it's pretty detoxifying. i've read it removes metal from the body and helps clear up skin problems among other things. come to think of it i had some 2 days ago and my nose was a bit runny for a few hours the next day. it was probably from the dulse as i put a considerable amount of it in a raw soup i prepared.

I've been raw for a year and 100% for several months. Basically my body equates any cooked food as poison now and rejects it flat out. Madinah, I don't think it has anything to do with resilience as even as a cooked vegan, vegetarian, SAD junk food/fast food exploiter in the golden oldies I seldom got sick and I have always had a super immune system. In fact, I never got sick pre raw!! It was

Mindful Eating. I seldom gulp down my food anymore, but when I do I experience gas and monster burps which make me laugh at myself they're so spontaneous and loud when they occur. I attribute it to gulping in extra air and not chewing my food adequately...pretty much not savoring the digestive process which begins in the mouth. When I take my time and chew, chew, chew and enjoy the flavor o

i've done that a couple of times. put way too much spirulina with spinach leaves, onions, an overripe apple and a few other veggies. Bleh- it tasted like green pee swamp water. Not that I've ever had any of that, but I would imagine my awful smoothie tasted just like it. It was oily and stinky too...haha...maybe the spinach was bad. I didn't want to waste food, so I pinched my nose and dran

Nature Boy is a really beautiful song. I like George Benson's version...was released in the 70's. I used to love to listen to that song...gives me goose bumps. I had no idea of the history of the song...that the songwriter was a raw foodist. Wow, that's really cool. Thank you for sharing.

Roxeli, i'm with you on the cilantro. love the smell & taste! i'm an onion-cilantro eating fool right now. i can eat a whole onion and big batch of cilantro in one sitting no problem. but whoa, it causes big time detox...today i was wiped out. i think my body is pulling metal and overhauling/cleansing my blood. feels great.

Hi Deegarry, I recently experienced a healing crises of eczema around my mouth. I water fasted for a week, then fasted for a couple of days on cucumber-ginger-lemon-celery juice. Wiped it right out. EVOO or aloe vera oil dabbed directly on the rash with a cottonball 2-3x per day will help clear it up too. The water fast may be extreme for your friend, but I definately suggest drinking pl

ok i'm going to ask a stupid question...so you mean the tops of the onions were cut right? why is the market cutting the tops - for meal prep? if so, i don't see why you can't eat them raw. i eat raw onions all of the time...in fact, i've eaten at least 5 in the past 3 days in salads. can't get enough of them lately. good blood cleanser and super great for the skin. my skin is really clea

i use hemp now primarily because it has both omega 3's & 6's. i think flax only has omega 3's??? not certain about that and too lazy to google. :-) i also love the flavor of hemp seed milk which i make pretty often. i used to use flax oil alot, and i don't know if it's only in my mind or what, but my monthly cycle is better and i get a little zip in my step if i have hempseed milk in the

i have 3 bamboo cutting boards of varying sizes to accomodate most of my chopping needs. a super large one for large meal prep and a small one that is wonderful for travel. bamboo might not be the best choice, but it works for me and i love the quality it provides. since a young age, i've meticulously cared for things that i've owned...given i didn't have that much. partly to make them last a

you're much nicer than me, they'd be cooking their own food (if they had to have it). they're visiting you in your nest. why should you put your beliefs and values on hold? stand your ground, be raw and proud. as long as you're not preaching to them, they should respect where you are as well. seems like a lot of the balance is being placed in their court - you obviously respect them enough to

when i slipped eating (microwaved) cooked food, i got violently ill. my body was pissed off! unfortunately, it was negative reinforcement and i've had no desire to experience that hell ever again. at the same time, i echo the sentiments about focusing on the present and your ultimate goal(s). on a practical level, maybe choose raw transition foods that satisfy those pesky cooked food cravings

...also you may just have to eat "cooked" on occasion until you return to the states. just stay present and enjoy your trip - wouldn't worry about it. sometimes you have to make those choices when the food options are minimal. you do need to eat afterall.
