Alice, there are so many alternatives to toothpastes. Look at Ref # 5. If you are interested but don't want to taste soap, do a Google search for "ToothSoap. And any ol bar soap seems like a horrific idea. And here are some other links you might find useful. Another alternative dentist is Hal Huggins. I don't have any of his links but a search on Google will bring up things fa

learningtofly, no I'm not paranoid. Not even very concerned. Sorry I didn't say so in my previous post. I became concerned, and I'm the only one who responded that mentioned any concern, because of what Bryan said. I believe that he acted on good faith. There's been an incident, right? Yeah, Jose did post a survey yet Bryan didn't raise any concern about it. Please don't be upset about al

The state of health of the Native American population in general is, unfortunately, dismal. The newest phase of successive American governments' plans to exterminate them? I've never done any investigation or research nor do I have any solid knowledge of the general health of Native Americans. However, I'm sure that I've heard and read that there is a lot of alcoholism and obesity among Nativ

Thanks Bryan for the warning. I don't see what harm could come from me posting the information I did but I suppose you know what you're talking about. learningtofly are you willing to reveal your name to us? I don't know who you are. Bryan mentioned that you're not giving your name, and you still haven't. Of course even if you do tell us your name, I won't know if you're telling the truth or

The things that can be done with things we find in nature ... pretty incredible. Of course the lengths that we take these days to make nature useful to us is incredible in a way, but ... also pretty incredible in another sense. I majored in anthropology in university. Fascinating. Then went to Thailand and lived at a forest Buddhist temple. Learned so many fascinating things about how some people

Try www.nutritiondata.com or www.fitday.com or there's something called a cron-o-meter (I think this is the way to write it) which you don't need to be online to use. You can download it and it'll just be on your computer. I haven't tried it. I suppose there are others but these are the only ones I remember seeing on this board so they're the only ones I know of. I like nutritiondata much better

What do you believe leads to gum recession? Is it the bacteria that feeds off of sugar? I'm so uncertain with many of my answers that my answers may not be worth much. 1) How long have you been raw? 12 years or so. But never 100%. 2) What is your approximate percentage raw? Roughly 70%. 3) Do you eat avocados on a daily basis? If so, how many per day? Very rarely. 4) Hav

Just had another amalgam replaced this morning. The dentist doesn't give me anasthetics. I don't feel much pain when he drills. He said some people feel so much pain that they have to have the anasthetic. He told me that many of my cavities are really close to the tooth nerves. Less than a milimeter. Yet I don't feel so much pain. It's bearable. But he said there was a lady who came in recently w

Just to paraphrase from some of the reading I've done, something from this link "Dr. Hulda Clark advises in The Cure For All Diseases: “Don't use toothpaste*, not even health-food varieties. To clean teeth, use plain water or chemically pure baking soda—but dissolve it in water first, otherwise it is too abrasive. Or brush with hydrogen peroxide food grade, not the regular variety.

Hey Rob, Can you promise me that you'll play a song by Frank Zappa? Maybe one of his older ones? One from the Mother's days? Maybe "America Drinks and Goes Home"? I won't be at the festival, but, well, I'm in a bizarre sort of mood, and for some reason, I got this *nicky* idea to ask you to play a Zappa song!! All the best, Troy.

I once listened to a lady speak about CODEX. The things she said are really really REALLY hard for me to swallow. I don't want to be overly skeptical, but the things she said .... It was on YouTube, I think. Some lady that gave a speech at a podium. I probably got the link from this board. Really harrowing. If this is the future, then, yeah, we might as well all just shrivel up and die. Because t

Lurch, I really feel for you. I read your post on another part of this board a couple of days ago. I see you've been trying to delete that ad for quite a while now. Hope you get some relief soon. A smile would bring some relief. So, in order to help you smile, I'll type in some smiley faces. Hope this suffices in place of a photograph of me smiling! Maybe in another post somehwere. Now's not the

Connie, I use an olive oil bar soap. I've asked the company that makes it what's in it and they said it's just olive oil, nothing else. So no glycerine. But you know, I just thought, olive oil is liquid at room temperature. So there must be something else in there. I forget exactly what the company said. But I did ask specifically about glycerine and they said there isn't any. So what makes it a

There are people who say that bacteria don't cause cavities. Acids do, they say. Here are a couple of links and quote from those links. Some of the things that both of these people say contradicts with things that other people say, but this is to be expected, no? At the very least, I find these sources interesting. I feel there's value in reading these. (this quote is right about hal

I once read his Conscious Eating book and also liked the Ayurvedic approach. I still have some attraction to Ayurveda but feel more attracted to what I've come to believe about Doug Graham's approach. What good info do you see in the book?

Jen, you might want to check into whether growing from seeds will work. I remember that Thais who grow them grow them from a cutting, not from the seeds. Ask your friend with the plant. Thais usually have the plants grow up a post then around an automobile tire that they've secured horizontally to the post. How has your friend done it? I'm curious.

Well, I don't know anything about this either. But try sending a PM to Bryan, the moderator. Just go to the main page, find his name, like the one at the very top, click his name, and you will see a screen where you can send him a PM. Works to send anyone a PM, I think. I think the guy who currently runs this site is John. Same guy probably, huh?

Jen , I imagine you dissolve the baking soda and sea salt in the water, yeah? What's the green powder? What's it for? Does it help with remineralizing your teeth? Salt apparently helps that too. You mentioned tooth soap. Do you mean the product ToothSoap? I used one bottle of the stuff. But I didn't do any of the other things that the lady says you have to do. And I didn't get any benefit fro

Wow. You two have got a monopoly on this thread. Until now anyway! I'm here to make money and to learn Korean Zen (Seon). I lived in Thailand for a bunch of years and didn't work a whole lot. I've decided to return to the US later this year but want to make some money first. Six months gone, six more to go. Then I want to head back to Thailand for a spell of serious relaxation. Sleep slee

Just listened to the podcast again a little while ago. He says that when he was 16, I think, he was only interested in athletics. But he became determined to learn all about health, and to help others become healthy. It was only after he started living more healthily that he saw all these conditions that he'd had. And that they started going away. I think he said he had arthritis at 16! The m

LaV, I have a feeling reality is only a mental leap away. I was told at least once how to choose a good one. In Thailand, where they were fresh. Plus, I don't know where the ones you're getting in the US come from. I forget exactly what I was told so I haven't responded, until now. I'll just say what I think I was told. Anyho', seems like they said to look for ones where the wings (!?

I have been living about 200 meters from the ocean for about six months. When I arrived I asked someone with experience if it's good to use ocean water for watering the plants. He answered that the wind supplies plenty of ocean water! This is a windy place and I've noticed recently that the flowers on the vegetables do taste quite salty. I've not tasted the soil directly. I'm not saying don't

Thanks greenie for your post. The major injury and assault, as I see it, is my eating behavior. I'm glad that there was much more injury and assault in the past than in the present. I do agree that there is major injury and assault though being done while sitting in the dentist chair. Here I'm just taking written responsibility for my actions, that's all.

I'm gradually having all my amalgams removed because I suppose it's better to not have them in my body. One dentist, Hal Huggins (I heard an interesting interview with him on rawveganradio), says that even the alternatives can be dangerous. He says that we should get our blood tested to see which we can tolerate before having the amalgams replaced. He also says that just having the dentist pu
