I read in one of Gerson's books that it's better to pull a tooth than to get a root canal! Reason being is that once you do a root canal, it is a dead tooth. This dead tooth in your mouth gives you problems. They did tests and when people removed their dead teeth (root canals) they noticed a big difference in feeling better!

I always check online the menu, or I call and have them fax over the menu. I make sure I check out all the veggies mentioned in Entrees, sides, and apptzrs, I gather that infomation and let the server know "In my salad, can I have raw broccoli, mushrooms, zucchini, onions, red bell pepper, tomato and fresh lemon." They will make me a big salad with all the things I've asked for RAW an

I have been brushing my teeth with just baking soda with an electric toothbrush for the past 2 years and haven't had any problems with my teeth. Is a waterpick okay to use instead of flossing? Or should you do both? I do have to say, when I first started raw, I had cavities, sore gums, and bleeding gums. I read from David Wolfe that when you first start raw, you're teeth will be sore, an

I remember back in 2007 I got rid of my microwave & unplugged my stove. I remember deciding never to drink diet Dr. Pepper again! I told myself I'd make all my own dressings and dips. Getting rid of all plastic containers, pots & pans. And now 3 years later, I love my kitchen, how advanced I've become in knowing and my habits of raw food preperations! So now again a new year and I

My boyfriend of 8 years didn't want to go raw like me, so I never forced him, along with my son who was 7 years old when I started to think 'he has to eat all raw.' but I stopped myself and just ended up buying organic for them, and if I had to buy meat it was worth the 5 extra dollars when it was hormone free, antibiotic free, and no pesticides. The more raw foods I had in my house, and the

Okay that name is: Psyllium, I buy it organic and just a heaping spoonfull in your drink, salad, soups, smoothies really does help a lot! Also eat lots of blackberries, blueberries, grapes, cherries, ginger, kale, parsley, garlic and onions. Do not eat spices. You will see a big difference in just 3 days of drinking wheatgrass! It is amazing!

I have a lot of books on healing and raw foods. Here are some things written about constipation & hemmorids: No salt or oil or nuts. Eat fresh parsley, citrus fruits, canteloupe, pinapple, oranges. definitely don't over eat. I'm at work now, so I don't have the books with me, but I had really bad hemmorids and what worked for me was green vegetable juices. I've been juicing p

Petrichor, I like what you said "Mono-Mealing Melon in the Mornings" MMMMM So now I will take all your advice and what I read: No salt, no oil, no spices, no condiments! Yes to juicing, mono meals, more fruits, and blending! Thank you, I will try anything up to this point! I am getting desperate!

Thank you EZ rider for your response. It has been almost 3 weeks that I've been eating all raw foods, except for Agave, Olive oil, dried spices and herbs. I hate to go to the bathroom, and I have been so lazy and weak. I can't wait until I have more energy!!

According to Gabriel Cousins He says to dehydrate them for the first 2 to 3 hours on 145, and then down to 110 degrees. To prevent food going bad in dehydrater. Here is a link to making your own dehydrator!

I was told the reason why the watermelons don't have seeds in them are because they are not mature enough that they have all their seeds in them yet and were picked off the plant earlier on. I laughed at this idea! My belief is that they were injected with some chemical, that made the seeds go away.

How long do you have to be on raw plant food to get yourself back to normal digesting your foods. I was always 75 to 85% raw, then lost it for awhile, and now I'm back to 90% raw. I'm having a terrible time being able to digest my food. I feel bloated and tired all the time. Can you suggest anything that will make my journey smoother. -Dee

I find the only nut that give me hives are Cashews. I love them, but don't eat them as often as I'd like. But when I do, even in dressing, or dips or desserts, I still break out. So I eat so little when I crave them.

My boyfriend and I were not raw food eaters when we met. I soon became one and started shopping for food that was only raw. He did those pouts when there were no eggs for breakfast, or rice, buttery potatoes, bread, etc, you get the idea. Well I woke him up and said "Here's breakfast" and handed him a colorful raw homemade juice from my juicer! THat was the begining of our wonderful

I was SAD along with my boyfriend who was also a SAD ,but he ate more fruits and veggies than me. When I became raw, then my boyfriend ate what ever I ate, plus his cooked foods, but it's all healthy according to him and he does eat meat, but that is once or twice every 2 weeks. I couldn't imagine him out of my life even though he eats meat, we've been together way too long and been through

I've had many people comment on my way of eating, some even make fun. Like they'll say "So all you eat is grass?" This past Christmas parties, I have told people I am a vegetarian (didn't want to go into the whole story of explaining raw foods to them). So some guy says "aww come on, just this once, make an exception" he continued to nag me until I plainly and politely

I was in a book store looking for a good cookbook (I loved to cook). I would shop for a cookbook once every few months. So right there on the shelf I saw a white book titled "Skinny Bitch" I couldn't believe that there would be a book by that name, I skimmed through the book and bought it, as it made me laugh very much! I read it in a few hours and instantly became a Vegan. Than 2
