Hey CC, You efforts are great! I read in one of these raw forums that raw almonds will still be available from the orchard owners directly as they are not considered a distributor. At least this offers some concession whether or not your/others' efforts are rewarded. Therese

572. Re: Detox
DavidZ, You make me laugh. Thanks. S, Detox is a continuous process. (You will reach a comfort zone, though.) I only mentioned the body's detox symptoms. There are psychological and spiritual detox stages, too. Maybe DavidZ has more insight since he's is 100% raw for many years. For me, even after 2.5 years, my thoughts/ values/ insights continue to evolve along with my body continuing to

Rawg, I sent you an email request for the two freebies. I heard of Prill beads before I was raw. I haven't tried them but am looking for a way to alkalize my water without always having fresh lemon on hand. I also heard that alkalized water is terrific for plants and those plants which are watered with alkalized water don't have all the pest problems. I feel bad that your simple questi

I read somewhere that the cell towers weren't doing the damage but the sunlight's alteration due to the chemtrails, etc. were affecting the bees' ability to get home from long distances. This is happening to the more commercialized beehives. I heard that the private ones don't have such a problem. So sad. Poor bees. I think this is another population control tactic so that we have no food.

I used to have moons on all of my fingers and toes except my baby toes (too tiny). Today, after 2.5 years of modified raw (6 mos of which were 100% raw vegan), I only have moons on my thumbs and big toes. I heard that when one eats raw and has enough minerals in the body, the moons go away. The person that told me this also experienced his moons fading in or out depending on the level of raw.

S, Yes, a headache can be part of it. Diarrhea, hair loss, spaciness, dizziness, weakness, fatigue can also be indicators. When I went 100% raw vegan, I had diarrhea for 2 days. I was very sore. Then, the other symptoms came. Good luck. Therese

Ksee, Yes, there are many recipes that do not require a dehydrator. I've been modified raw for about 2.5 years and have never had one. I do plan on getting one in the future to dry out fruits, etc. to keep for emergency supplies. For greens/fruits, besides eating them whole or sliced up, you can blend or juice. Cut-up recipes include raw pasta, blended include smoothies, and juices are ju

PP, If you're still drinking coffee and not eating raw, there's the problem. Caffeine tends to dehydrate you. In the meantime, you can make yourself a cup of Senna leaf tea. Drink it at night before you go to bed and you will have a BM in the morning. You can drink it during the day but will have to wait until it takes effect. It takes time for the BM to be regular. Initially, I had dia

CC, She is gorgeous for being 50. I have something to aspire to. Amazing. Thanks for sharing. The only input I have is the body text font is a bit small if you are making a presentation. Otherwise, the presentation is inspiring. Good luck. Therese

Hello, Yes, all those things are true. The temperature of "warming" food up is according to each person. Personally, I've heard the max. temperature to be at different levels: 112 degrees F, 115 degrees F, 100 degrees F, 99 degrees F, etc. Some of the dehydrators go to 175 degrees F and the food is still consider by them to be raw. When I lived in Phoenix, the outside weather woul

CC, There are some people that are likened to animals because of their behavior, not only in their eating habits. The Aborigines in Australia eat a wood larva. Personally, I would not willingly eat an insect. I've was offered chocolate covered ants when I was in high school and I refused. At that time, I was SAD. Also, if you look at the events that occurred in New Orleans with the floo

I agree with the formaldehyde warning. The Master Cleanse was the first one that I was ever on. It did help some. My hearing and ability to be heard improved as I did release some mucus. There are better fasts but you have to start somewhere. Therese

fuzzy, Check out shazzie.com. Her website has pictures of her brilliant eyes. My friend's sister's eyes turned from brown to blue. I think it took about 8 months or so. (Cannot remember the exact time frame.) My light brown eyes turned lighter, almost a golden tan color. They were turning blue until I started eating more cooked. The scurf rim was the part that was turning blue first. I

Hi Fuzzy, Sorry to hear about your situation. If your body is really clean, you could go on a 10 day water fast. You could also put lemon juice in the water but technically, this wouldn't be a fast as there are nutrients in the lemon. I have done the 10 day water fast. (I probably need to do another one in the near future.) I broke the fast with half an apple. I didn't eat any spinach

Love, 1. Foods that high in silica. MSM is supposed to help, too. 2. Controversy. Some say that sprouting seeds is not as nutrition dense as growing them in soil. Soaking nuts allows for better digestibility and easier chewing. 3. Human babies' milk I heard is about 7% protein. 50% is waaay too much. Protein can be obtained from plants, seeds, etc. Check out the nutritional values at fitd

If you want a quick fix, try Larabars. They were about 99% of my daily intake when I drove from Phoenix to Ohio in 2 days. Outside of water and one adventure into an order of Fried Okra (hey, I was in the South), the Larabars were the only thing I ate. I ate the Cherry Pie, the Apple Pie, and the Chocolate Coconut as they were in the variety pack I purchased at Costco. Larabars can get expe

Hi Everyone, I went to a doctor (ugh) to figure out what was wrong with me and the nurse took my blood pressure. It was 90/60. I don't remember ever having blood pressure that low. In 2000, it was 100 something/60 when I was more at an ideal weight but eating SAD. According to one website : "So, what's a normal blood pressure in children? At age three, you don't want your child's bl

I used my oven to dehydrate. I used the oven at the lowest setting, warm. I used a cookie sheet at first but then found my pizza stone to work better. My final conclusion was that I needed a food processor/ mandoline to cut the food up uniformly and quickly and that I needed more drying space (i.e. a dehydrator). I gave up on dehydrating. In the future, I may buy one but for now, I eat the fru

I agree with Pistachio. I spent quite a bit of money on raw books and I haven't been able to find one recipe that I like except my own or by someone I knew. Most of the recipes called for blending, dehydrating, spiral-cutting, processing, etc. I didn't have any of that stuff in the beginning. I did finally buy a juicer and that helped with the chewing as I tend towards TMJ and it just gets pa

For parasites in general, the easiest is using a Parasite Zapper. It is an electronic device. See Hulda Clark's book, "The Cure for All Diseases". As for candida, I'm still working on that one. I was told about some essential oils that are supposed to take care of it. I have yet to try. It is on my list as I have a severe case of it now. Good luck. Therese

The raw red potatoes are good for you if you have an ulcer. I've tried this and it isn't bad. I prefer German Chamomile tea in that regard. I still have yet to find the perfect raw red potato recipe. I think they would be easiest if grated and then seasoned but I haven't experimented yet regarding how to season them. Good luck. Therese

While it's not really a plant, per say, you can sprout. I sometimes sprout alfalfa in a glass jar. I've heard of people doing it in bowls, too. I've done the herbs, too. They don't last too long as they really need good soil and sunshine to grow well but they are pretty to look at. Hope that is a start, anyhow. Therese

I love ethnic food. I have to confess that I have been more cooked lately than raw due to my move and adapting to the new weather, etc. However, my suggestion is to adapt recipes you already know to raw. For example, Pho can be made with a veggie broth and then throw in the raw bean sprouts, jalapeno slices, squirt of lime, and hot pepper sauce. Typically the noodles are processed so you migh

Hi Mallow, I don't have a proper answer for you. You could try plugging in the food intake into fitday.com and see what the nutritional differences are and find a way to balance it. You could also try to ease into your new diet regime and see how your body reacts. Sorry about your financial situation. Personally, I eat what I can afford. Good luck. Therese

coco, Not sure if that parchment paper is any better since it is "silicone" treated. Didn't they ban silicon breast implants in women and now just re-introduced it to the market? Hmm. There doesn't seem to be a better choice. Therese

Hello, I have her book and DVD. I haven't tried any of her recipes. I have mostly adapted cooked favorites to raw. Many of the recipes required a dehydrator which I don't have. So, I wouldn't get too worried about not having the book. Mostly, I eat fresh fruit or salads/veggies. What I've found is that if one is really raw, the eyes are blue or green. My brown eyes are slowly turning bl
