QuoteTai Bluepixie: I just googled that gorilla milk stuff (almond milk, coconut meat, coconut water and greens) and the combo sounds so nice! The thing is, I'm not sure I could be bothered with the almond milk part- what could I use instead that would be sweet enough to balance the greens? Tai: Don't you live in the UK? It's hard to answer that. Since I live in california, I often use fre

QuoteRawPracticalist Are there any studies on the multiplying effect on nutrients from fermenting. Or does fermenting just make the food more digestible? There are many studies show how sprouting increase nutrients but none on fermenting. Fermenting greatly increases nutrition in terms of vitamins, enzymes and probably phytochemicals. I also suspect a noticeable in minerals when soake

QuoteTai Tai Actually Lou drinks a 40 ounce green juice every morning. That's his signature lemon ginger blast. It is mainly greens, which can include wheatgrass. Lou also drinks gorilla milk, which consists of 50 percent green juice. Also when he is seeing clients, he will order wheatgrass juice and other vegetable juices. It makes it convenient for him to see clients at the health food s

Doesn't take much room, just stack the trays on each other. 2 days worth here. 5 trays will fill one up from morning until night without the need to eat anything else. Keep under netting. Leave them alone for 3 days during the colder seasons (some inside heating) or leave them for about 1.5 days in hot weather. Grow tails to about 1 mm at most.Usually they won't need watering, but

QuoteRawPracticalist Yesterday we praised the value of chia seed sprouts, the fenugreek seed sprouts, and how we could not survive on raw food without them. Now today these sprouts are forgotten. The sprouts will never be forgotten,l will always tell people to do green juices algaes seaweeds and ferments. QuoteRawPracticalist We are talking about a very acidic food compared t

I also promote the seed yogurts to make it far easier for raw food people to be able to stay high raw or 100% raw much more easily. Many people seem to get cravings and struggle with raw at night because they live on high water content foods, but the seed pastes will cover the gap nicely and fill hunger and stop cravings and feed the body really well. If people can do fruits early in the day

QuoteRawPracticalist TheSproutarian or TheFermentarian That is the question. What happened? We need a name change here. What a paradigm shift !!! I still would prefer to have my green juices, but l am too busy to do that at this moment. I will go back to my sprouted greens as soon as l can spare the time. I am busy from the early hours of the morning until reasonably late at nig

Lou Corona is right, cultured foods take the raw food diet to another level. COCONUT ALMOND YOGURT! ~ LOU CORONA ~ Raw Living Food Recipe The eating of nuts and seeds doesn't compare to when they are cultured. People can argue that nature didn't create things that way blah blah blah, but we know that reality is often different to sound good theories. The truth is that ferments wor

RawPracticalist: I do appreciate the arguments you have made here in this thread. l am glad you made wrote the things you did. I want to dig much more into this topic one day, but now is not the time. A book on fermentation certainly isn't out of the question, but it will have to wait for the moment.

QuoteRawPracticalist Well you have always been an inspiration to many on the forum. Here my main concerns with fermenting sprouted seeds. In the processing of sprouting, some seeds will not sprout, they will start to spoil and contaminate the batch. Unless you painfully can take them out one by one, they may end up in the ferment contributing to spoiling the ferment. One could say that ther

What is my main reason for consuming ferments these days? I have them as a staple because l find them to be an easy and sustainable food source...l prefer this food over anything else. When you are able to sustain on various food you start to forget about the science. I have forgotten about the science in my situation because I realise my requirements are very individual and no science can cl

No matter what, various appropriate raw foods is a good start in a better direction, but there is far more to the health journey than food. Food and exercise can be beginning steps. I have greatly improved my health recently, yet my diet isn't quite as good at it once was (I am having no greens for the next 12 months....haven't had any in about 6 months). The main reason for my great improveme

QuoteRawPracticalist After years of eating raw living healthy foods our body should return to its natural equilibrium and state of normal functioning. At least near that state. ??? Who has been saying this? Why would raw food bring our body back to a natural equilibrium? What is a natural equilibrium? There is little circumstantial evidence to support any so called equilibrium. Why? Bec

Had a powerful fermented seed paste for breakfast today. Almost 2 cups of sunflower seeds that l sprouted and then fermented for 3 days in quinoa rejuvalic. Very strong and smokey tasting. Will last me all day. I am medium - high fat, but that is my unique situation. Sprouting and fermenting does lower the fat content of the seeds which allows one to eat lots of seeds without feeling sickly o

Quotejtprindl I'm very strongly considering buying a pre-built cabin to go somewhat off-grid... and so I have a relatively inexpensive home that I own. If I were to invest $15-20K, I can get a pretty nice setup. For energy, my ideas are solar panels and power generators... but when it comes to water, I'm not sure what to do other than collecting rainwater. How can I get a consistent source of

Quoterufio Was he a raw foodist? Certainly was a vegan. He has passed away. Rumor is he caught pneumonia while under incarceration in Honduras. Very bizarre. Dr Sebi certainly promoted raw foods quite actively so l imagine he was probably a high raw vegan. While l wasn't a big fan of his, I did appreciate some of what he was trying to do. He also had a unique perspective on things.

Quotefresh nevertheless I'm sure that you would agree that pure raw food eating would solve a very high percentage of mental and physical problems in the world. I'm not so sure Fresh. Aren't some 100% raw fooders aggressive in their behaviour towards others and easily get angry and attack others, certainly there is no evidence of the 100% raw vegan diet bringing on peaceful balanced l

Hi John, I did watch the video, and while l don't agree with a number of things you said, l do agree that we should not shoot inside the tent, and l do agree that making a sproutarian diet more marketable and easy to follow is essential. After listening to many folks and seeing their failure on the sproutarian diet, one of the things I learned was to make a raw food diet easy to do and sustain

I find wheatgrass hard to drink too, but l find barley grass, rye grass and oat grass much easier. Other people find wheatgrass easy to drink. I doubt you would be missing any nutrients in juice,l think it is more about personal taste.

Yes, l used to drink two large trays of wheatgrass per day...one in the morning and one during lunch at my old work place, and l felt amazing. I went through huge amounts of grass juice for years. I would use a 40 pound sack of wheat every 6 - 8 weeks.

Quotelisa m Thanks! Funny, I kind of do it the other way around, I sprout then blend then ferment. I sort of guessed that the increased surface area would facilitate easier fermentation. But I'll try it your way and see how it feels. And I use kefir rather than rejuvelac as I've never really got into rejuvelac that much. With pumpkin l give them a half second blend (no more) and then fermen

Quotebluespixie Thanks TSM How long does the chia take to sprout? How many calories/nutrition in a blended combo like that (chia, sprout water, coco fat)? It take chia roughly 1.5 days to sprout in warm weather, 2 days in mild weather and 3 days to sprout inside during winter. The key is not to sprout it too long...it should be chia with a small tail only. Possibly over 1,200 calories

Quotejtprindl Have you ever released step-by-step instructions on how to make rejuvelac? Scroll down a bit and read the part of fermentation: Quotejtprindl What if you just soaked chia seeds in rejuvelac for a few days, would it take away the need to sprout them? No, definitely not a good idea. Why? 1). the gel is in the seeds and the meal becomes too bulky because of the gel,a
