Tuesday, Day 92, 100% Raw Fruitarian. i was very busy today. The day seemed like a whirlwind. My activity level, work-wise, is picking up and i am very happy about that. It is a harbinger of good things in the next couple of months. Of course that doesn't help me right now, but my Saviour will provide our needs. Out of circumstance and necessity, i ate light today. i started to do a isometric workout but then decided against it, favoring rest. Here are today's meals.

Breakfast:
none.

Lunch:
3 tangerines, 3 bananas. (471 Calories)

Dinner:
3 tangerines, 2 bananas, one avocado, one stalk of celery (664 Calories).

Exercise: none.

Wednesday, Day 93, 100% Raw Fruitarian. Over the last three days, if you have been reading my blog, take note....this is how NOT to be a successful Fruitarian. What you are witnessing is a man who is determined to stay Fruitarian no matter how empty his pockets are at the moment. Its challenging but sometimes i just laugh because of what i do to get the fruit. Yesterday for example i was in a clients home, she said she was about to eat lunch and asked if i minded and i said no. She then began to offer me something to eat, from her kitchen table i spotted two bananas and within seconds i was enjoying them....LOL. Then last night i was in another clients home in front of a bunch of bananas. The client reached for some and offered me some, of course i obliged. So yesterday i got four bananas out of five from friendly people. Today, i had a morning appointment with a referral. The man led me into his home and told me to take the most rcomfortable chair in the living room. Then he gave me two very delicious navel oranges. The person that referred me told him i was a fruitarian so he thought i may like that. He was right. So its been like that over the last three days. i am not in a tropical area where stuff grows wild nor is it summer when i may be able to get some fruit from here, but i am surviving. So do not take my caloric intake to mean i am just reducing my calories purposely, i am not. If you are thinking about doing this lifestyle, in the beginning especially, make sure you have plenty of fruit. Enough to at least equal what your normal caloric intake would be, if not more. Here is today's menu.

Breakfast:
2 navel oranges. (137 calories)

Lunch:
3 tangerines, one banana. (261 calories)

Dinner:
small non-sweet fruity salad with banana-tangerine sauce. Delicious. (635 calories).

exercise: none yet, but i am planning on about 20 minutes of isometrics tonight.

Grace and Peace be multiplied.

Thursday, Day 94, 100% Raw Fruitarian. Another very busy day (i love it). It seems like the day just flew by. i met some very interesting people. i find people interesting. We come from all different walks of life, all different shades and colors and ideas. But we all want the same things, we all want to be happy, we all want to avoid sadness and we all face obstacles. Now what makes us happy or sad or what each of us considers an obstacle differs with the person. But humans are so complex, as the Bible says we are "fearfully and wonderfully made" (Psalm 139:14). This thought causes me to give praise to my Creator everyday. Today i met a person that is a chain-smoker. This person has suffered much and has fought hard all their life (about 75 years old). Such a nice person and responsible in that she raised four children and paid off her home (her husband died a few years ago). It was hard to watch, knowing what the cigarettes were doing to her. Sometime i wish i could just do something or say something that would cause people to understand certain things, but i realize that is not my place. i am just to be an example and show love, light and truth that comes from my Heavenly Father. Each person must make decisions for themselves. Well, that is life on planet earth.

Todays meals were:

Lunch:
3 tangerines, one banana (261 calories)

dinner:
non-sweet fruit salad with banana-tangerine sauce and two avocados. (1068 calories). The avocados gave this meal its density. i was glad to have them.

Exercise: none today.

Friday, Day 95, 100% Raw Fruitarian. i was able to eat very well today. Interesting how the body adapts. Today, i ate about 1200 calories less than i was used to eating prior to this past week and i feel stuffed. That's because this week i was eating about 1000-1300 calories per day. That felt like a starvation diet. Today i was able to obtain two 20lb watermelons. Spring is definitely in the air. i like the mini ones, but i would much rather have the regular size watermelons. i look forward to having one of them for breakfast and lunch tomorrow. i notice that as the weather gets warmer, the place where our melons come from gets closer to us. For example, all winter i have been eating melons that have mostly come here to Virginia from Costa Rica and Guatemala. The large watermelons i purchased today (first time this year they were available here) came from mexico. In about a month or so, they will start coming from here in the southern united states and in the summer i will be able to get them from Virginia grown locally. i feel that this is the reason the quality of fruit gets better and the summer draws nigh. It doesn't have to travel as far.

Today's meals were:
Breakfast:
3 bananas and one avocado (604 Calories)

Lunch
Large non-sweet fruity salad with banana-tangerine sauce. two more bananas. (1009 Calories).

Dinner:
2 tangerines, one minneola orange, one navel orange. (227 calories)

Exercise: 20 minutes of isometrics.

Have a Wonderful Weekend!

Saturday, Day 96, 100% Raw Fruitarian. i ate very well today. Better than i have eaten in about a week. It was a restful day, which i love. We had a good bible study Friday night and then an even better one on Saturday night. We are studying the prophecy of Daniel (which is fast fulfilling). My mind is receiving so much from the Bible now, more than ever in my life. Whatever hardship i have to endure or discomfort this journey may cause, that one advancement is worth it all and much more. i have read and re-read the entire bible many times, but it all is going to another level now. i have learned that just when i think my mind is clear, things get more clear. There seems to always be new levels to reach, higher spiritual heights, deeper knowledge and understanding. Also, much deeper appreciation for my Creator and all He has done (and is doing), for me. So this was a typical 7th day of the week for me, in that it was a time for contemplation, meditation, fellowship and worship. Also it was filled with delicious fruit!!

Today's menu was:

Breakfast:
A little over one half of one 20lb watermelon. (813 calories)

Lunch:
The rest of the watermelon, 3 bananas, 4 oranges, half an avocado. (1125 calories)

Dinner:
Large non-sweet fruity salad with avocado-banana dressing (918 calories).

Now THIS is how to eat as a Fruitarian!

Exercise: Took a long walk with my wife. 4 miles.

Grace and peace be multiplied.

Sunday, Day 97, 100% Raw Fruitarian. Sundays are days where we usually lounge around the house and relax. When the weather is good i run and/or play ball with my oldest son. In the morning, my wife and i usually talk for an hour or so, discussing what's going on in our lives, in the world and things pertaining to our family and the Kingdom of God. This morning time flew by on us as we talked until early afternoon (shows there's alot going on.lol). That put me slightly behind as i had to go into the office today for a couple of hours. i have an early day tomorrow and a long drive to see a prospective client. i ate very well today, as i have all this weekend. i don't know how this week will go, but i know i will be alright in the end. i have been having some very bad thoughts go through my head over the last two or three nights. i have been having thoughts of three things, fried chicken, new york city pizza and cheese burgers. Now i wondered why these things were coming so heavy upon my mind and i came up with three things. One, i was hungry most of the week, when a person is hungry, all types of thoughts go through their head. Two, i had not thought about salt in awhile and perhaps i was craving it. Three, dark spirits were seeking to tempt me prior to being banished from my soul forever. i decided it was a combination of all three. But the way i have been eating this weekend, none of that mattered. i was totally satisfied and happy with the fare i was blessed to partake of. Today's meals were:

Breakfast:
one 20lbs watermelon. two bananas. (1565 calories)

Dinner:
Large bowl of zucchini spaghetti with celery, tomato and raisins. seasoned with home-made curry, basil and oregano. topped with banana-tangerine sauce. i also ate two avocados (i really didn't need the second one, but they were so good). (1302 Calories).

Exercise:
i put my timer on 20 minutes and this is what i did.

50 regular pushups. 15 clap pushups, 60 one-legged squats, 24 chins, 40 chair dips. i really got a good workout. The isometrics are helping me progress tremendously.

The meeting went well, but its 50/50 as to whether or not we will do business. But its always good to meet nice people. i ate well today. i have one personal watermelon which i am saving for tomorrow. i carried lunch with me and ate it while i was driving. Here is today's menu:

Breakfast:
One large red tomato (delicious), one tangerine, one navel orange, one mineola orange, one avocado (512 calories).

Lunch:
3 honey tangerines, one navel orange, 2 bananas. (434 calories).

Dinner:
Large non-sweet fruity salad with banana-avocado sauce. (1090 calories)

Exercise:
3 sets of handclap pushups (don't know how many because i am doing them now), a few minutes of upper body isometric exercises.

Tuesday, Day 99, 100% Raw Fruitarian. It was a trying type of day. Filled with things designed to cause anxiety if i let them. The type of day that requires faith. i am glad the Lord got me through it. Character must be developed in trial. There is simply no other way. i am glad the Spirit causes me to understand this, although, i cannot say i always rejoice in it. Not yet. In conjunction with the day, good food was not as plentiful. But i can say i did rejoice in what i was able to eat as i thoroughly enjoyed it. Especially dinner where, for the first time ever, i made my own curry. It came out quite good and it was very easy. Went very well on my non-sweet fruity salad. As i was out on road visiting prospects today, i really didn't have time to exercise. i was emotionally exhausted when i got home tonight. My dear wife had already cut up the non-sweet fruity salad for me so that was a great relief to be able to come in, just make the sauce (which takes about 5 minutes or less) and eat. Today's menu was:

Breakfast:

One personal watermelon. (678 Calories)

Dinner:
Non-sweet fruity salad with avocado sauce. One other avocado by itself after. (1139 Calories).

No exercise today.

Wednesday, Day 100, 100% Raw Fruitarian. Well, its been 100 days. Overall i am feeling physically wonderful. Very light, alert and energetic. My mind and spirit are attentive and i am really connecting with Heaven on a new level. My weight is 183lbs. Officially that is 10lbs lighter than where i started. i have been involved in a very stressful period of my life and through it all i have been able thru Grace to continue this journey. Its still only in the beginning, but it is doing great things for me. i am having strong cravings over the last week for certain things. Fried chicken, fried fish, cheeseburgers and pizza. The interesting thing is the chicken, fish and pizza have not entered my body temple in 10 yrs. The beef, that has to be at least 20yrs. So i think its the salt among other things, that i am craving. But its not at all any sort of raging battle in me. i have no desire to actually go and eat these things, but i think of them. i feel that this is just another place in the journey and that in time (i don't think more than a few months), these things will not appeal to me at all.

Today, a wonderful thing happened. While i was at work, a sister in Christ who wants to go raw stopped by my home to get some pointers from my wife. She came bearing a gift. A case filled with valencia oranges! There must be somewhere in the neighborhood of 60-70 of them in that box. Now i know what i will be eating tomorrow. Mono meals for sure. If i had to live on one food for any length of time, oranges would be one of the ones i would choose (along with bananas, durian, mango or avocado). i ate one this evening after my non-sweet salad but tomorrow they will be a large part of my nourishment. Today's meals were:

Breakfast:
4 tangerines, one banana. (313 Calories)

Dinner:
Non-sweet fruity salad with tangerine-avocado dressing. One valencia orange. (1005 calories).

exercise: none today

Sunday, Day 104, 100% Raw Fruitarian. Life can be very interesting. The walk of faith even more so. There is pain in the growth in grace and the crucifixion of self, but there are also many joys and amusements. Case in point, it is now Monday as i am blogging this. i am blogging events as of yesterday (sunday). i have not blogged in several days because my internet and phone are out. i am blogging this from my office. The last time i blogged, i had received a box of valencia oranges from a dear sister in Christ just as i had run out of fruit to eat. The box actually had 100 oranges in it. Friday, i went to the library to check my emails and lo, a dear soul gave a $100 contribution to us which bought us groceries for the weekend. It is a challenge for sure, but in a strange way it is also fun and amusing. Just seeing how we get provided for in times of need is amazing. These days it seems every day is a challenge and i never know what to expect. Who needs to watch TV when i have real life drama? So i (and my family) ate well this weekend. With our newfound wealth i also purchased another case of those valencias (i found out they were $25 per case, a tremendous deal in these parts), which i obtained on sunday. i had a great workout today. The best one so far as a fruitarian. i have had better on my raw journey, but i can definitely tell that i will be reaching new heights because of the effects of fruitarianism. Here was today's menu:

Breakfast:
14 valencia oranges. What i am doing is slicing them up into quarters and sucking what i can out of them. They are delicious. i feel like i took some sort of energy pill every time i eat them. We have found that 4 of them produce 16oz of juice, so i had nearly 48oz worth. Very good. (830 calories)

Lunch:
Delicious non-sweet fruity salad with a small twist. As we were doing our 4 mile walk today, we noticed that one of the natural blessings of southern virginia have started springing up all over. Chives. They have a onion-like smell but much lighter. We plucked up a few handfuls and i began eating them. They tasted salty to me, like onion-garlic potato chips. Of course this made me eat more of them (LOL). i added them to my salad as well as my sauce (Banana-orange juice-avocado), very good indeed. i also ate one extra avocado. They really help with calories when food is low. They taste good too (smile). (1142 calories).

Dinner:
7 valencia oranges (415 calories)

Exercise:
4 mile brisk walk. Then i did my 20 minute workout. In the 20 minutes this time i was able to complete: 200 pushups, 30 chin-ups, 60 one legged squats (per leg). Not bad and still improving.

Grace and Peace be multiplied.

Hi Todd,
I feel inspired and energized just reading your post! I love to see how you are trusting and being provided for. For sure, everything comes through when we need it, if we relax and don't lose our confidence in the Divine providence.

Amen. Worry is blind and cannot discern the future. The Lord sees the end from the beginning and in every difficulty He has a way prepared to meet the need. He has a thousand ways to provide for us of which we know nothing. i am so thankful for this assurance. It is what gets me through these times.

Monday, Day 105, Raw Fruitarian. i ate very well today. i have to look up what food category chives are in, i would guess they are an herb. Well, they really added a nice zest to my dinner today. What a great blessing that they grow all over my yard and the neighborhood! i tell you the truth, one of life's great pleasures (at least for me), is a satisfying meal. Especially after a hard day. i am so happy that i am at the point where a bowl of non-sweet fruit with no salt is extremely satisfying to me. i still use herbs obviously, but getting off the salt is huge for me at this time. Here are todays meals:

Breakfast:
9 valencia oranges, 2 mangos. (803 calories)

Lunch:
10 valencia oranges, 2 bananas, 3/4 of a pineapple (973 calories)

Dinner:
Large non-sweet fruity salad with banana-avocado sauce. (1043 calories)

Exercise: 4 mile power walk.

Tuesday, Day 106, 100% Raw Fruitarian. Another day of drama and intrigue. What else is new? Sometimes one phone call or email can really be something. Both for good and for evil. It can either cause such rejoicing that one walks on air the rest of the day or it can cause one to hold up the shield of faith with both hands and all the soul. The latter was the case today. But, praise my kind Father in Heaven and my loving Saviour, i made it. i ate very well today. Lunch was provided by a prospect on the road in the form of two large, spotted bananas. Delicious. No time for exercise today, but i will definitely catch up on that front. Besides, my triceps are still sore from sunday. Very good feeling that soreness from reaching the muscle deeply. Today's menu was:

Breakfast:
12 valencia oranges, one banana. (816 calories)

Lunch:
2 large bananas. (242 calories)

Dinner:
Large non-sweet fruity salad with chopped chives and avocado-banana sauce. (1162 calories)

Exercise: none.

:-) My day was like that too... a rollercoaster of joyous expectation, rude awakenings and unexpected snags... and then reassessing our situation and letting go go of vexation.

Wednesday, Day 107, 100% Raw Fruitarian. i was feeling down on myself today. i am sure most people can relate. Like a failure. It was one of those decision-making days. Today i decided, that i am tired of debt, of owing people money. If my Heavenly Father can help me get out of debt, i will never get back into again. Ever. As i looked over the past few years of my life today, my mistakes seem like giant red flags. i do not blog this to seek pity, please none of that. But i simply want to blog my experience as it really is in my life, from my perspective. i suppose in the past this type of day may have been an excuse for me to eat things i know i shouldn't. i am past that point now by the Grace of the Lord. From the experience i have had in life, i know i will rise above this. These verses help me today:

Micah 7:8 Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD shall be a light unto me. Micah 7:8 Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD shall be a light unto me.

Micah 7:9 I will bear the indignation of the LORD, because I have sinned against him, until he plead my cause, and execute judgment for me: he will bring me forth to the light, and I shall behold his righteousness.

i really thank the God of Heaven for the Bible. Especially in times like these. i ate very well today. It was not the type of day that would make the mono-meal crowd happy, but it sure did make me happy...LOL. This is also a testament to where i am right now. The food i ate today really also helped me with my mood. In the past it could have been stuff like fried chicken or veggie "meat" sandwiches or PB&Js. It could have been an apple pie or oreo cookies or a pizza. Today, this is what it was:

Breakfast:
7 valencia oranges, 2 mangos, one large red tomato, one avocado (1011 calories)

Lunch:
Non-sweet fruity salad with banana-avocado dressing and curry. (818 calories).

Dinner:
10 valencia oranges, 3 navel oranges. (799 calories).

That was the last of my valencias. Man i will miss them! The sister that brought me some last week has ordered another case for me. Very much looking forward to getting them. i tell you the truth, i could eat 2 cases per week easily. Seriously. i love them.

i have listed 7 fruits that i could definitely live on indefinitely. Oranges, melons, durian, mango, bananas, avocados, tomatoes.....throw in some cukes and celery and i am all set....

Exercise: 10 minutes of isometrics. Mental exhaustion stopped me more than anything else. This would have been a good day to run or even walk. But it was raining all day. That too will pass.

Grace and Peace be multiplied.

Thursday, Day 108, 100% Raw Fruitarian. Today was an avocado day. i ate three of them today. i had one in my lunch (half in my sauce, half in my salad), then two more for dinner. i felt no ill effects at all and they were extremely satisfying. i like them when they are somewhat firm but have some give to them. They are very creamy and have a slight nutty flavor. Delicious. i have not gotten to the point where i totally understand how they work in my system yet. Sometimes they feel heavy and other times they don't. i did notice that today, i ate two of them alone on an empty stomach, then followed them up with 3 tangerines and 2 navel oranges. Maybe that was why i had no issues, the order in which i ate them.....i don't know. But they were very good. i also had a very good workout today, attempting one armed pushups for the first time in my life. Interesting indeed. Here was today's menu:

Breakfast:
3 tangerines, 2 mangos, 3 bananas. (740 calories)

Lunch:
Non-sweet fruity salad with banana-avocado sauce. (1289 calories)

Dinner:
2 avocados, 3 tangerines, 2 navel oranges. (849 calories).

Exercise:
16 one armed pushups, 32 hand-clap pushups, 50 regular pushups, 3 sets of 2 minutes in a horse stance. took about 25 minutes.

Sunday, Day 111, 100% Raw Fruitarian. i had to leave my house at 6:30am this morning. i spoke at a state prison. It was about 2 hours from me. i have done this many times over the years and its always very rewarding. i was invited by a local pastor that i met to discuss life insurance. When one meets men, some of whom are to spend the rest of their life behind bars, there is very little pretense. No high theories that mean nothing. These guys want answers and they mean business. i love that, because it allows me to get into the Word. No denominations, no churches, no watered down theories. The straight truth. If they think you don't know what you are talking about, they will tell you. If they find what you say to be true, they will say so. We had a wonderful time. The officials want me to come back in the future and i really look forward to it. It was a beautiful day today in terms of weather. It reached 80 degrees and it was sunny. So i went out with my 17 year old and played some basketball in my worn out old sneakers. It was good exercise. My son plays all the time and i have not been out there since October. But he saw that the old man with the strange diet has alot left (lol). The thing is, i went out there right after i ate my non-sweet fruity salad. Looking back i think i should have had the juice concoction i made then and the salad after. It would have been easier on the digestion. We live and learn. Here was today's menu:

Breakfast:
4 bananas, 2 tangerines, one navel orange, one avocado (881 calories).

Lunch:
Non-sweet fruity salad with banana-avocado dressing and raw chives. (902 calories).

dinner:
60 oz of juice made from 1.5 canteloupes and 12 oranges. Really good. (638 calories)

Snack:
2 bananas. (210 calories).

Exercise: About an hour or so of basketball.

Monday, Day 112, 100% Raw Fruitarian. i have noticed that over the last 2 days i have had an increase of eliminations. Its one of those times where i believe my body is cleansing itself. My body felt lighter and as i went on the scale, sure enough, i lost 3lbs. i was 180lbs. The last time i was 180lbs (not including times on juice fasts), was about 20 years ago. Feels good. i had the opportunity to eat another personal watermelon today. i was saving it as long as i could (lol), but it was time for me to eat it. i like to at least have them on the weekends, so i was blessed to have one for Friday, Saturday, and today. i didn't work out today, but i had a good workout yesterday with the basketball. My meals today were:

Breakfast:
One personal watermelon, one banana, 2 mangos (916 calories).

Lunch:

Wednesday, Day 114, 100% Raw Fruitarian. i would characterize today as a tomato day for sure. There was a sale on Roma Tomatoes at a couple of stores today at $1/lb. i was blessed to be able to secure about 6lbs of them. They are delicious. i think i ate about 8 of them today. They are shaped like large plums and the color and texture of them were such that i was able to get good quality. Then i came home to find out my children didn't think so highly of them. Well, this is one time i don't mind that at all! The case of bananas i bought last week are very ripe now, so i am consuming alot of those also. They, along with the avocados, are so calorie-dense that the consumption of them helps me get my daily requirements and then some. Here are my meals for today:

Breakfast:
7 bananas, 2 tangerines, 2 navel oranges (976 calories)

Lunch:
Large non-sweet fruity salad featuring about 6 roma tomatoes and one regular tomato with one cucumber, 3 large stalks of celery, 3 tbsp of raw chives and half an avocado. The sauce was 12oz of juiced fuji apples, 2 large bananas, couple of small pieces of the celery, quarter cup of raisins, one half avocado with curry, basil and oregano. i also ate one avocado while i was preparing it. (Delicious)....(1269 calories).

Dinner:
16oz of fresh squeezed oj. 4 bananas. 4 roma tomatoes. (752 calories).

Exercise: i did a 20 minute workout this morning. In that allotted time i did: 40 chins, 75 bench dips, 60 one-legged squats with each leg.

Later in the early evening i did another 10 minutes where i did: 32 hand-clap pushups, 25 regular pushups.

It was a good workout day.

Friday, Day 116, 100% Raw Fruitarian. i am back online from home now, having received a gift from a dear soul (May the Lord bless them). That means bible study tonight. i am really looking forward to it after having been away for two weeks. We are also having a raw potluck tomorrow. i pray all goes well for the attendees. One in particular is very excited. He has been 100% raw since the last one alittle over a month ago. He has (or apparently had) been diagnosed as a diabetic. He went to his doctor recently who told him his blood was great and suggested the insulin is helping him. My friend then replied that he had not taken insulin in a couple of weeks! Of course the doctor was quite shocked. Such is the power of the Creator's diet. Needless to say, he is very excited to be coming back tomorrow. It is such a joy to see such blessings realized in people. i pray there will be many, many more like him. i ate very well today, as has been the case this week (by my Father's Love and Saviours Grace). i also had a good workout while i was waiting for a phone call. i didn't keep accurate count of everything as it was informal, but i did lots of chins (i'd say at least 40), one-armed pushups (like maybe 20 or so) and one legged squats (don't know how many). It was all good for the 30 minutes or so i put into it.

Here are today's meals:

Breakfast:
Large personal watermelon (about 10lbs i'd say). 4 bananas. (1098 calories).

Snack:
2 bananas, 6 roma tomatoes. (300 calories).

Lunch:
Large non-sweet fruity salad with sauce made from mango-banana-apple juice. (Delicious). (1251 calories).

Exercise:
30 minutes of vigorous calistenics. chins, pull-ups, one arm pushups, one legged squats.

Have a wonderful Weekend!

Eat what you like to eat. If your usual fare is getting boring, try something different. i used to love sweet fruit salads. But now i really prefer my sweet fruits by themselves. i enjoy them so much more. i am not there yet with the non-sweet fruits. Do you like melons? How about Durian or mangos?

Saturday, Day 117, 100% Raw Fruitarian. Wonderful and blessed day today. We had a Raw potluck in the afternoon and in the morning we had a fellowship/worship in our home with some like believers. We had planned the potluck, not having the resources for it, but the Lord provided wonderfully. We received plenty of raw foodstuffs and my wife prepared raw tacos, raw "tuna" as well as a large salad. A raw sister in Christ brought some dehydrated raw gourmet. She made raw eggplant chips with raw onion rings. She also brought some cooked walnut burgers and we made bulgar wheat. My wife had plenty of sprouted lentils as well for the tacos. People brought me watermelons, papayas and other fruitsand we also got a surprise monetary offering. It was a day of total blessings. i made a non-sweet fruit salad and banana-avocado sauce. People were too stuffed to eat my salad but they wanted my sauce. i was glad i had some for myself! We also had very fruitful spiritual conversation. It was rich. All the troubles i have been dealing with are more than worth it for one day like this. We are planning another one on May 9th.

My meals today were:
Breakfast:
4 bananas, 2 tangerines, 2 navel oranges (661 calories). That was the last of the case of bananas we bought 10 days ago. But now, i will be able to buy another one!

Lunch:
Non-sweet fruity salad with chives and the aforementioned banana-avocado sauce. One other avocado i ate while preparing it. (1229 calories).

Later:
snack of 6-7 Roma tomatoes. (67 calories).

Exercise:
none today.

Grace and Peace be multiplied.

Sunday, Day 118, 100% Raw Fruitarian. They say when it rains, it pours. i have found that to be true. My life seems to be made of a long series of feast or famine. This weekend can definitely be characterized as feast. After the terrific day of spiritual renewal, fellowship and delicious raw food yesterday, today was even richer on the food front. With some of the offering we received, i got permission from my queen to inquire at the asian market for durian. Well, you know that made me very happy in an of itself. It was a very nice and sunny day, so i also promised my son that i would be out to play some basketball with him. So i hopped in my car and gleefully went to the asian market. i figured since it is now spring, there should be more availability of durian. Even if they didn't have any, i knew another asian market that always seemed to have it in frozen pods in a box. When i walked into the store, it was quiet, the nice cambodian lady who co-owns the store was in the back tending to something.

My eyes almost immediately rested upon stacks of very delicious-looking mangos in cases. i knew i would have to purchase one of those. i then proceeded to the large freezer where i knew they kept the Durian when they had them. i lifted the lid and lo, about 10, whole, delicious durian! i grabbed two of them, not knowing how much they were going to cost me. Then i grabbed a case of those mangos. She was selling the Durian for $1.99 per pound and the case of 12 mangos was $14.50. i had her weigh the Durian, one of them was $14 and the other $11. At first i thought i would get one of the Durian and the mangos, but i could not make up my mind. i asked her if she would let me sample one of the mangos to help me make up my mind (LOL). This she gladly did. As she began to slice the mango and i saw the golden color and dripping juice i knew this was going to be special. Indeed it was, as i was thoroughly enjoying the most sweet and juicy mango i had eaten in about 3 years, i told her ring up everything. So it came to alittle over $40. She told me that they would soon be getting jackfruit as well. i was so happy, i went out to my car and left my keys on her counter. i didn't realize this until i got to the car, at which point the nice lady was right behind me, my keys in hand, chuckling because she saw my joy. No non-sweet fruity salad today for me, my dinner would be very special. i ate more today then i usually would, because i could more than anything else. What a joy good fruit is to my soul! It makes my heart glad indeed. My meals were:

Breakfast:
At about 8am i ate...one personal watermelon, one avocado (831 calories).

Lunch was on the run today:
i ate that mango at the Asian market (about 2pm), then about 20 minutes later i sampled a Roma tomato at Walmart, then about 20 minutes after that i ate 2 vine-ripened tomatos purchased at Walmart. (190 calories total).

After returning home with the bounty, i proceeded to the basketball courts. It was a good day for me, not so good for my 17 year old son and his 20 year old buddy. (LOL).

Dinner:
After i finished playing ball and having alittle extra exercise (i will explain in a moment), i went home and ate dinner. It was later than i usually eat (about 5:30pm). The Durian was still frozen, so i couldn't eat it yet. This of course was disappointing. But i had a good dinner anyways.

one personal Watermelon (my second of the day) and three of those most delicious mangos. (1217 calories).

Later:
i had finished my online Bible study and by then one of the Durians was sufficiently thawed for consumption, and consume i did. It was late (after 10:30 pm), but that did not stop me. i ate,

One whole Durian, one roma tomato, two mangos. (1176 calories).

Totally delicious and fruity day.

Exercise:
When i arrived at the park, prior to going over to the courts, i went to the playground. i wanted to attempt a power-up. i could not do even one of them. Even though it was the first time in my life i attempted one, i was still disappointed. This presented me with a challenge. i want to be able to achieve 10 of them by July 1. Goals like this are fun for me. So i went and played 2 hours or so of basketball. It was a good workout. i beat my son in two games of one-on-one full court. Then i beat his friend in one game of one-on-one half court. Then we played about 8 games of 21 of which i won 6. They said i was just lucky...LOL.

After that i went back to the playground and did four quick sets of 5 (two sets of chins, two sets fo pullups). Then went home for dinner. If only all weekends could be like this, but alas, i will take them when i can get them and be thankful when they come.

Monday, Day 119, 100% Raw Fruitarian. Just as blissful as the weekend was, today was full of troubles. But at least i have the memory of such a sweet weekend to help me move forward. Also, one very nice thing about today, i ate my other Durian for breakfast. i shared some with my wife and daughter, it was delicious. The thing about Durian is that it always leaves you wanting more. Perhaps if i ate like 20 pounds or so of it at once i might think differently. i would love to able to try that! Needless to say, i ate very well today. Anytime i eat Durian, i ate well regardless of what else i ate, but today i also had a couple more of those delicious mangos. Heavenly! So, fruitarian-food wise, i suppose it was a very good day. Here are today's meals:

Breakfast:
One Durian, 3 navel oranges, 2 mangos. (1360 calories)

Dinner:
Non-sweet Fruity salad with plantain-avocado sauce (1226 Calories)

Exercise: none today.

Tuesday, Day 120, 100% Raw Fruitarian. Now i am at the 4 month point. Seems like nothing in terms of time. Like i am still at the very beginning and just getting started. That's probably because it is indeed the very beginning and i am just getting started. But i am in a flow now in terms of foodstuffs. Meaning that, although i still get cravings for crazy things like fried chicken or fried fish, the likelihood of me eating anything cooked or not fruit is pretty remote. i am also really craving fruit that is fresh and juicy, its just that i cannot always get it in the quantity i want. That seems to be the most difficult issue. i ate the most amazing mangos a couple of days ago, there were 12 of them of which i think i ate 8 or 9. i could easily have eaten 20 of them with no problem. i am thriving on this diet right now, but i believe at this stage of my journey i would be even higher with more abundant, high quality fruit. Now my weight is fluctuating usually between 180-182lbs. i believe i am headed to the 170s the way i am feeling in my person. My workouts are getting better and better. i look forward to running again and hope to start soon. Layers of spiritual, emotional, mental and phyisical pollutants are still falling off of me. i don't know how long it will take to finish (if it ever does, i don't think it does), but i am enjoying each step.

i hate to sound like a broken record, but my mind is still getting more and more clarity. i really am happy about that above all, the spiritual clarity. My life during this journey has been like a pressure cooker, usually, its emotional pressure and upheaval that cause people to give up wanted lifestyle changes. i am no different, but i know the power of Grace from Heaven for myself. This is the only thing keeping me during this journey. Not just on this diet, but in all ways. To know that angels walk with me, stand by me. To know that all Heaven is watching me to see my development. To know my Heavenly Father and my Lord and Saviour are in the Most Holy Place ordering all things for my highest good. These thoughts keep me.

i feel like i ate like a fruitarian pig today. When i look at my caloric intake for today, it wasn't even 2400 calories. i believe its because i ate 3 avocadoes today and i ate my last meal very late. Here are today's meals:

Breakfast:
3 navel oranges, 3 delicious mangos (the last 3), one avocado (898 calories)

Lunch:
non-sweet fruity salad with plantain-avocado sauce. The difference today is that i didn't use any raisins. That cut down my calories, but i just wasn't into them today. (809 calories).

Snack:
4 roma tomatoes. (45 calories)

Dinner:
6 roma tomatoes, one avocado, 2 navel oranges, one banana (615 calories).

Exercise: 30 minutes of calistenics this morning..80 one legged squats, 160 pushups, 76 chins/pullups

20 minutes more in the evening: 125 chair dips, 12 one arm pushups, 14 clap pushups.

Announcement: We will be having a study on the Book of Revelation, online, starting Friday, April 17, 2009. It will begin at 9pm EST. We will study the Prophecies on weekends (Friday, Saturday and Sunday Evenings). The study will take place at www.PalTalk.com it will be under the Christianity section. The Room is titled "The Last Days of Earth's History". We will be recording the studies to mail out for free to whosoever wants them.

Grace and Peace be Multiplied.
