the chart is not irrelevant at all, since each of the foods is assigned a number which mirrors its approximate relative potential of alkalinity (+) or acidity (-) existent in one ounce of food. that is why it is definitely helpful for those living according to an alkaline diet. the other thing that you guessed, but which was right, is that most citrus fruits are alkaline. regards, Mel

Generally, ALL fruits are good, of course, but as long as you want or have to eat according to an alkaline diet, it's recommended to also check the potential of acidity or alkalinity for each fruit. regards, Mel

I can only say go with plenty of alkaline water (and alkaline foods). Alkaline water is highly negatively charged and "anti-oxidant" and therefore has the ability to block the attack of free radicals. Anti-oxidants prevent cellular and DNA damage by neutralizing free radicals and therefore slow down the process of aging (wrinkles etc.). regards, Mel

hello cy, I agree in part with your hygienist friend, since morning hunger is often just a feeling instead of real hunger (yet not to fill the stomach until 12 is definitely not healthy for your metabolism). Most of my days I start with a alkaline green drink that includes alkaline water and powdered grasses, greens and vegetables for maximum cell absorption (energizes me quickly and i have

Hello there, The first meal of the day often causes high levels of acidity. Foods like pancakes, waffles, muffins, oatmeal, breakfast cereals, sweet rolls, toast, maple syrup, honey, coffee, orange juice, etc., contain huge amounts of sugars and simple carbohydrates which over-acidify the blood and tissues. This creates a terrain that promotes the growth of bacteria, yeast, and fungi – t

There are more unhealthy conditions related to fast and processed food, resulting in too much acid waste growing inside the body, which I would like to highlight here: Low Energy and Chronic Fatigue When having our cells constantly exposed to an overly acidic environment our biological terrain's oxygen level drops, leaving us tired and fatigued. This will allow parasites, fungus, bacteria,
