I hope someone presses a law suit for this. Not everyone who earns above the government funded health care guide lines can afford heath care insurance. Forcing someone to buy something they can't afford should be unconstitutional.

coco, I'm not looking for sympathy. Please forgive me if it looks that way. I felt it was a real experience worth illustrating my opinion of the matter. I realize now, as an adult, what happened and why. I also now understand she was a young girl who was still learning the ins and outs of parenting while herself not fully grown. I just can't stress enough how I agree, don't lie to t

when I was a child I got into a lot of trouble at school for calling another student a liar for telling me Santa-Claus wasn't real. The teacher sent spanked me, then sent me to the principal's office who spanked me because I was still adamant in my defense of Santa-Claus. When I got home, my mother had been called, who started admonishing me for arguing with other students, the teacher, and

Just my opinion, I think we should exclude marine life from "raw". Sushi should not be considered "raw food" :p. Hey David, my wife reads over my shoulder and you're making life difficult here with these "ideas"

doing his/her best and needs help and instruction. > Discipline/disciple = learning, teaching, > instruction, not punishment. But that also depends on how one defines "punishment" We cannot be a society without repercussions. However, the repercussions should be designed not merely as a "payment of debt". Too many in society view "discipline" as nothin

It sounds like you may have deeper concerns than just telling the holiday lies. You may want to address the feelings within yourself about what you see in your mother first. While your mother is human and has flaws, you're an adult and now have to live with yourself. If you have turmoil over something then addressing this within yourself helps you. If you feel the need to assist your mother, y

keep in mind also that the more reps you do per set, the more endurance you're building. Endurance conditions the cellular walls of the muscles to be long and skinny. Heavy weights tear down the muscles and rest periods allow them to heal. The heavy weight regime builds thick, fat cells, i.e. thick fat muscles. You may get some bulk with medium range but the ultimate bulk is put in with hea

Tabitha, Perhaps in Atlanta you can find similar to what I've found here. The local Farm markets order raw (unpasteurized) almonds in the shell by the 50lb bags. It's a lot of almonds for one person but the good thing is that nuts stay longer in their shells than out. . Hope this helps. Glen F

Also something that supposedly smooths and softens skin is oil pulling www.oilpulling.com Read it with an open, but objective, mind would be my recommendation. You do NOT swallow the oil. One thing I can say for certain is it definitely whitens the teeth over a course of time AND helps get rid of rough, dry patches and weather bumps. Glen F

The first time I tried to go raw I did 100% for 3 months, all fresh fruits and veggies, making only guacamole and salsa from fresh live foods, the rest came as they were. By the end of the 3 months I was sleeping about 5 hours a day but feeling completely rested when I woke. I had a home renovation project I was working on between work hours that I got a lot done on. My dr. at the time said

David, Thank you so much for the realistic alternatives for starting raw foods. It seems that often times the poor folks dilemma is lost on those who've already gotten used to the raw food and the effect of eating less over all. I whole heartedly agree that we need to cut the chemicals found in much of the non-organics, but also enthusiastically agree that even switching to raw versus cook

I've seen this debated and discussed in several forums. The general consensus is that "living foods" are the best. It seems to hold that frozen foods are a step down the ladder from fresh raw, but still better than cooked/blanched foods. One thing mentioned in the past has been that some of these "frozen" fruits are actually blanched before being frozen so that's somethi

Thanks for the response. Am I correct in assuming the "cooking dates" are older than the other ones? Thus they'd be better for gourmet raw foods and less beneficial from the "living foods" perspective? I'm sure we'll be experimenting with gourmet foods in an effort to convince our children to switch but I just want to make sure of the differences besides being "drier&

I've done several searches and come up with several websites but haven't found the post that I recall. I'd like to explore all online alternatives so I'm hoping to find the posts I remember. I want to find

Now that we have our books out of storage I'll have to find Our copy of Furhman's book and see what he says about it. Thanks so much I taught myself how to juggle when I was 14 but I never knew anyone juggled more than 3 until a few years ago. My eldest was looking for a hobby and didn't like the magic tricks etc. so my wife asked me to show him how to juggle. He quickly took off with it,

Speaking of nutrient density, are there any good (yet easy to understand) references or books available? This is something I'd like to successfully establish during my transition phase so it's not an issue once I'm 100% rv.

We finally got the means and opportunity to return to the old town home and get our stuff out of storage so now our move is finally complete. *wiggles in excitement* (my feet are too sore to dance :p ). I've realized that our bodies are like trailers. The more weight we carry, the more likely we are to "blow a tire". When we shed the weight it doesn't mean we're instantly back to

I bought a canon imageCLASS D340 All-In-One Laser Printer after I heard canon was finally releasing linux drivers for their laser printers. I found out after the fact that it wasn't all of their laser printers, this specific series excluded of course I called the distributor and he said he'd do an exchange if the item wasn't working. It works just fine on windows systems but not on linux.

every evoo I've had, even cold processed has had a yucky after taste and it has tended to blend over into the foods I add it to even when I put it in small quantities. Any brand better than others to avoid this?

I've thought about adding them to smoothies. I know when cooked the collard greens and mustard greens can often have a bitter taste, so I've hesitated to put them into the smoothies as I don't know how that would bring out any more of the bitter or not.
