Jadedshade, Thank you for posting this. I read your message last night and went out and bought some sesame oil, did the oil pulling this AM for 20 minutes and my body feels noticably more relaxed and some hip & leg pain I've had lately is gone. Pretty darn good for one day, eh? I'm gonna continue this and will let you know the results. BTW, I must be dehydrated because the oil never tu

I don't use plastic water bottles. I use SIGG bottles, which are metal and have no interaction or leaching. In fact, I can leave water in the bottle in the car for weeks and still drink it with no alteration of taste whatever. Google SIGG to find the best price.

I'm curious how the subject came up at all with the boss. In any case, I would thank him for his concern and then steer the conversation firmly and pointedly to your work performance and attendance. Ask him if there are any parts of your performance he is unhappy with, or could use improvement. Also keep a written diary of conversations with him (including date and time) as well as a deta

April, I've found it helps to focus on what you intend to eat, rather than what you intend not to eat. For example, think of all the delicious raw living luscious fruits and vegetables you will eat. And be easy on yourself. Regarding the emotions, in my experience they are just sensations in the body that we put a label on and attach stories to. If you can just notice the sensation part of

I've made wonderful raw chickpea hummus-- and awful, indigestible raw chickpea hummus. The trick to the wonderful stuff is to soak & sprout the chickpeas for several days and rinse them like crazy each day. Then I blend them with garlic, oil, lemon, tahini, and spices.

aquadecoco, away from/going to is just one characteristic. As a coach I mostly facilitate the silence and that's the real catalyst for moving forward, and happiness, wholeness and healing. People know who they are and what to do from their own quiet mind. It's wonderful to be a part of that process.

Bryan, You are an 'away from' person and are motivated by pain as you have discovered. Many people are like you, and there are others who are 'going to' and are motivated by pleasure and hope/expectation of a payoff. To motivate 'away from' people, make a case for the awful consequences of what they're doing, eating, etc. To motivate the 'going to' people, you show them a vision of what's

Shaine, Why not ask him if 1) if he wants help, and 2) what if anything he would like you to do to support him? Let him run his own show and be there for him. Hint: This will only work if you are 100% open to supporting whatever he wants, even if it is not your choice for him! If he gets interested in feeling better, you won't have to preach to him. He'll see how healthy you are and start

The current medical view about allergies is that they're cumulative. In other words, a person can have sensitivity to multiple allergens and only show an allergic reaction when they build up enough --- kind of like the straw that broke the camel's back. The person will then think they're allergic to that last straw - pollen, wheat, dairy ,etc.-- and not realize that it's just one of many things

Call the company and ask what it is made of. Rubber is natural latex and it smells but it's not toxic. A lot of plastic does not smell but is toxic.

Drink hot water with fresh lemon juice squeezed in it. This helps flush the liver. And see if you can burp. Also, some fresh aloe vera juice may help. I used to have headaches like that and all the above seemed to help.

It would help to know what you are eating, and when. FWIW, I've been struggling with raw for a while. I've done it for even a couple of years at a time and then fall off the wagon. The two ways I've done raw in the past are either mono fruit during the day and raw veggie salad at night (no condiments, salt, etc.); or anything goes if it's raw - pates, nuts, etc. I've been reading about th
