I got this recipe from the Raw Detox Diet book - I am absolutely hooked on it. It is the most refreshing juice I have found yet - I was skiing today (x-country) and it was all I could think of drinking - I had already had it for breakfast but made another batch when I got home. 2 cups of spinach (or more) 8 leaves of romane lettuce (or more if you wish) 1 piece of ginger 1 apple 1 lemon

thanks for the input on frozen wheatgrass - I am going to attempt to grown mine at home. No I need to know - how do you juice it? I only have a Champion Juicer which they told me when I bought I could juice wheatgrass if I cut the wheatgrass. I have since discovered on this site that it does not. I don't want to spend a fortune on yet another appliance. Any advice?

I have just received my first order of frozen wheatgrass - it is in my freezer as we speak. I have been following a raw food program since February and am feeling great. I have no illnesses to speak of so I am wondering how much wheatgrass would be good to comsume a day. On the video they show putting 3 "cubes" of wheatgrass in water each day. Each cube is .56 oz and I have 12 packs

I LOVE my green smoothies - I have two large glasses of one kind in the morning, a salad or fruit for lunch and 2 large smoothies of another flavour at dinner. I will usually have some fruit or a salada at dinner. My questions, I feel great eating this way. Is it necessary to add seeds and nuts anything else other than water to my diet? I add home-grown sprouts to my salads - is this enough

I have just finished reading the book Green for Life by Victoria Boutenko. Great and inspiring book. I have of course heard about the green smoothies through many posts here - reading her book brought home the major health benefits of them. I had thought that juicing greens was the way to go but realize that I am getting lots of nutrients but no fiber at all - something I need to keep healthy.

Me again - I am in my fourth week of raw but have not noticed anyone eating any dried fruits. By dried fruits I don't mean done in a dehydrator at my home - do not have one. I mean the organic raisons, prunes and apricots. They do not appear to have added sugar at least on the labels. does anyone else eat any dried fruits? I don;t eat alot but they do curb my sweet tooth every couple of days

I want to start sprouting. The choices at the supermarket for organic sprouts are practically nil. My question - what things can you sprout? I mean can I sprout raw seeds like sunflower seeds that I buy at the store? I am confused as to which seeds I can sprout and where I can buy them?>

I have been alternating between a marinara sauce and a pesto sauce for my zuchinni spaghetti - both which I love!!! Does anyone else have any sauces or ideas that I could top my zuchini with? Or any other kinds of veggies that work well in the spirilizer for pasta?

How did you make it with your champion juicer? I must have done something wrong when I did it - made alot of noise and I was worried I would wreck the blades.

Can I juice wheatgrass with a Champion Juicer? I love it for everything but am thinking about trying to grow wheatgrass and juice it. I suppose I would have to cut it so it does not wrap around the cutter. Has anyone done this? I cannot afford another juicer for this purpose so I am hoping for this!

I have been totally raw for about 2 1/2 weeks after a few months of working up to it. For the last week my sinuses have been acting up - something that I have not suffered with since I quit smoking many years ago. As well I have been getting extreme dizzy spells (assume they are connected to the sinuses being blocked). Is this a common detox symptom?

I live in Northern Ontario and it is quite the challenge to get organic products (hit and miss) as well as organic seeds for sprouting and basically raw products that I could order without having to pay a fortune in shipping. Can anyone help me? I have been incorporating raw foods for the last few months and only went 100% raw last month. I am enjoying it but find my choices quite limited.

Thank you all for your responses - I do love a cup of senna or rosehip tea - and will continue with them. Having said that I think I will try the warm water - it will give me the warmth I crave in the winter.

I have been slowly incorporating raw food into my diet for about 2 months. I am beginning 100 % raw today. Can someone tell me what type of tea or hot drink is considered raw? I love green teas, senna, any herbal but did not know if they are considered raw. I don't mind the occasional hot water and lemon but I live in a Northern city and it is very cold here (-38C today) and cold water all
