My eating habits are (and have been for almost two years) almost exclusively mono-sweet fruit. My main staple is pineapple, and I sometimes eat apples, grapefruit, persimmons, mangos, or green grapes. I really love wakame, nori, carrots, tomatoes, lemons, limes, kale, spinach, chard, dulse, laver, ginger, cayenne, shiitake mushrooms, nutritional yeast, kombucha tea, and fatty things like avoca

WOW those look so yummy. How do you feel after eating avocadoes? Can you eat pretty much as many as you want? I'm fruitarian too, but nervous about avocadoes. What are your views on fat intake? Thanks!

Why have you chosen to use pasturized juices? I am curious. Personally, I would be concerned about acidity and other issues with pasturized juices.

That sounds appropriate. I just can't hae more than a TINY bit of nuts/seeds/avocado or I feel gross for a couple days. Which is a shame, because I'm been wanting a "creamed green"-type meal, and mashed "potatos" sound so good...I used to make them with steamed cauliflower, but not now that I am raw!

Anyone have yummy recipes for low-sugar juices? I feel that it is better to eat your fruit and get the fiber than to drink fruit juices. I've only had my juicer three days, and I'm new at this. I've searched around for recipes, but most of them are fruit-based or high fruit. I've been juicing apples, though, since they are low sugar, and mixing them with celery, spinach, romaine, lemon,

So, I got a juicer three days ago. I'm very happy. Sunday I drank juices of 1/2 lb. organic baby spinach, 1/2 large bunch organic celery 2 honeycrisp apples, peeled 2 grannysmith apples, peeled large knobb of ginger, peeled 1 huge organic beet 1/4-1/3 lemon It's been...cleansing... I guess. But hey, I drank all this late at night, about an hour before falling asleep, and the next

Wow that looks and sounds delicious. Unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to eat more than a bite or two if I made it. Way too rich, way too much fat. Looks fabulous though.

Try Dr. Bronner's soap. You just need a tiny bit.

No, miso is never raw. Since it's fermented, it is considered "live". It has way too much salt, which can be very very hard on your system, even if you are only eating a little bit of it. Also, it you are eating a kind that has soy in it, that can cause problems, too. Some people also say that ferments are unhealthy in general. Use your judgment. I used to eat South River

I notice that when I eat seaweed soup (wakame, dulse, nutritional yeast, lemon/lime juice, flax) it takes between 24-36 hours to be completely eliminated. When I'm mono-eating fruit it's harder to tell.

Okay, what is an exceptable amount of time to pass from the moment a food enters your mouth to when it exits your body? Is 24 hours sufficiently quick? What about 36 hours? I'm not necessarily asking about frequency of bowel movements.

Anyone have a recipe for mashed potatoes that would work for a 80-10-10 plan? Something very easily digested would be fantastic. I am best on all fruit, but I want something I can eat at Thanksgiving without ridicule.

I do food combining, and mostly eat mono fresh fruit, so I think that eating dates+walnuts+cocoa would make me feel ill. I'm not sure whether cocoa would make me sick or not, with or without dates and/or bananas. I've heard that cocoa is not "hygenic," so to speak, and a stimulent that is not ideal for people. I've also heard the same about cayenne, and posted a similar thread ask

Any experiences with raw cocoa? I really miss chocolate. I eat mostly mono-fruit, but I was thinking that blending dates with cocoa would be delicious, maybe bananas too.

You may just be digesting faster and more efficiently than you are used to. Eat larger amounts, or just eat more often. Drinking kombucha tea will also decrease appetite.

I've heard that cayenne can help with digestion, circulation, cleansing, and elimination. I read that it is a stimulant with no negative side effects, and that is is extremely beneficial. I've been doing a 80-10-10 approach... all whole fresh fruits and veggies with the occational exceptions of dates, some dried seaweeds, and nutritional yeast. I tend to have weak/slow digestion, low circulat

Yes, but the vast majority of cashews are not raw, despite what they say. Peanuts may not be a wise choice, either, but for other reasons. (Do a search, I don't have all the info.)

I'm concerned about their acid content.. and whether they contribute to toxicity. Also, I've heard that they have negative effects with the digestive tract: that they impide the digestive process.

Umm... well optimally I would say longer... (but I guess I may be biased) Two and a half weeks should certainly help. You may want to ask someone like Bryan or David.

Well,, to answer your question, yes, you can "do the diet" for only a short period of time. But what do you mean by "do the diet"? Do you mean fruitarian specifically, or just raw vegan? A few things you might want to keep in mind: 1) If you start cold turkey, if might feel like too much too soon, and you might stop prematurely. 2) If you do it until Thanksgiving, and t

I love the taste, but I am suspicious of its healthfulness. I have decided not to eat them any more until I learn more about them.

Any experiences with eating organic mushrooms, shiitakes in particular? I love the taste, and crave them from time to time. I love to eat them with soaked and seasoned wakame.

What are people's opinions on condiments and spices, ginger and cayenne in particular? I have slow digestion, and have heard varying things on the helpfulness/harmfulness of these. I only eat whole, fresh fruits and veggies with the exception of dried dates, dehydrated seaweeds, nutritional yeast, golden flax seeds, fresh ginger, and GT's kombucha tea. Generally, I mono eat fruit, and on some e
