I agree...you just need to make up your mind. In the very first post of yours in this thread, you mentioned how happy you were to be back to eating raw again, but then a few posts down, you talk about eating cooked foods and meat again! Just please figure out which you want to do.

oh my goodness! PLEASE do not eat mineral oil! It's used for oil in lamps! Yikes! Can you imagine what that would do to your body?

Don't you just love studies like this???? It still amazes me that so many people drink soda. And it is SO hard for me to watch some parents give it to their children - especially toddlers! I just want to say "HEY! Do you really realize what you are doing???".

Sedona is my favorite place. My husband and I got married there...right outside under Cathedral Rock. My wedding pictures are the best. We lived in Phoenix, and I miss our weekend trips to Sedona!

I just got my blender today and I am so excited to give it a try. Does anyone have some good "green smoothie" recipes? Maybe I should check out the recipe seciton of this forum. Bryan and NNNNNarz, is the BlendTec a 2hp or 3hp blender? Do you blend the seeds from fruits? Such as apple seeds, cantaloupe, pears, avocado, etc? I have read there are a lot of good nutrients and phy

djatchi...is it really necessary to call those of us who eat bananas "lazy"? Ugh...I hate when people post messages with personal attacks like that.

Amen to that, Bryan!! I wish I would have known that years ago. Oh well...my fault for not doing the research.

djatchi, where do you get your proof from that bananas are not nurtitious? Brian eats a ton of bananas, and he is perfectly healthy, so I am just wondering how you can say that is the case for everyone?? And confuzed...do you see how it can be? You will get 2-3 people telling you that one thing is nutritious, and then you will get one person telling you it's wrong. You just have to go by w

hi alive! I had to convince my husband that I needed to spend $400 on a blender as well. It took a while, but then he wanted a really nice, expensive digital camera, so he got his camera, and I got my blender. I told him that a blender was an investment in our health! I should be getting it either today or tomorrow. I will let you know how wonderful it is! Keep on your hubby about it!

I eat 3 bananas everyday and I feel GREAT. If you eat them, and they make you feel crummy, then don't!

Wonderful! Thanks so much. I am going there with my best friend, so it will be a fun girls weekend. Maybe I can talk my friend into going to get a colonic at their spa after we eat??? Ok, that might be pushing it. I will definitely be taking a dessert home with me! I can't wait to get "drunk" on raw foods! alive, your story was cute and made me giggle!

Does anyone know if there are any good raw food restaurants in Chicago? I will be there next month and would love to be able to eat at one. I did a search for this online and only found one juice bar. Thanks! Kim

confuzed....you will always find people that will tell you that being a fruitarian is not healthy....there will always be people telling you that no matter how you eat, it's not the right way. There is not one way that works for everyone. It's great to ask questions, but always do the research yourself instead of just listening to the advice of others. So, be a fruitarian and let us know how i

Do you own either a 3hp or 2hp blender? If so, blending the entire pomegranate is so good for you! Seeds and all.

235. Blenders
How many of you on here own either a 2hp or 3hp blender? I just ordered my Vitamix blender and am very excited to get it. I know there is a "Blending" forum on here, but I have never gotten many replies over there, so I want to try here. Anyways, I have some questions about blending, so if a bunch of people answer this, then I will start to ask! Thanks - Kim

My favorite Yoga dvd is Shiva Rea's - Yoga Shakti. I love it because you can create your own practice and change it up each time you do it or you can do the ones that she already has in there. And if you are new to Yoga, I highly recommend the Yoga Journal's Step-By-Step DVD's with Natasha Rizopolous. I also do Brain Kest's Power Yoga dvd. That is a tough workout!

I don't know that it so much replaces the natural hormones in your body...maybe over a long period of time, your body might quit making estrogen when it figures out it doesn't need to since you are getting it from soy. For me, soy just put WAY too much estrogen in my body. And when I quit eating soy, I can't even tell you how awful I felt. I had some crazy side effects!

I had some very bad experiences with soy. When I was vegetarian (not raw) I ate a lot of soy products. Then I started hearing bad things about it, so I researched and turns out there are all kidns of bad things about soy! I quit using it completely, and had some terrible side effects for about 3 weeks! It had completely messed up my hormones and thyroid. Do a search and "soy and thyroid

Are there any probiotics that you can take? Or have you ever heard of kefir? I have mentioned it a few times on here. Kefir can be made with any type of juice. If you want more info about it, just let me know. It is amazing stuff.
