It sounds to me like they were bad. The milk should be clear and the meat should be very white. And since they were moldy on the outside, then they were bad!

I do yoga almost everyday. Right now I am recovering from a surgery, so it will be another 2 weeks before I can do yoga again, and I miss it SO much! It does so much for you physically, mentally and spiritually. I started doing prenatal yoga when I was pregnant 4 years ago, and have been hooked since then. It's so wonderful.

I am just jealous - I can't find ANY fresh figs where I live. I have always wanted to eat one, but they are never around in my area.

Do you have proof or facts about that, la_veronique? If so, I would love to hear about it.

If I could just give a little piece of advice about getting silver fillings removed...my two best friends are both dentists. They said that unless you are having problems with your silver fillings, just leave them in there. They do not release any mercury or anything else into your system UNTIL they are drilled upon. And the other fillings that are now being used as replacements do not last NE

Hi mimi, From what I have been told and from what I have researched, there is no cure. Just surgery. I have been eating raw for a few months now. I have always eaten very healthy, so I did not experience a lot of the detox symptoms that most people experience, so I am glad about that. Best of luck to you with this....hang in there! Let me know if you have any mroe questions. Kim

Hi Mimi, I have mitral valve prolapse, and like you, I suffered through a few panic attacks as well. My doctor put me on beta blockers (this was YEARS ago) and I hated them. They made me feel just "off" - kind of tired and I felt like I had no energy. I have not had any surgeries, but found that I could control my mitral valve prolapse a bit. I quit taking the bets blockers and ju

As far as I know, as long as you don't go over 116 degrees (I may be off on that temperature by a bit) it is fine. I did the same thing with my toaster oven to make some stuffed mushrooms and it worked great. And check Ebay for some dehydrators. You can find them fairly cheap on there. Hope that helps! And hopefully a more experienced person can help with the temperature question. Kim

I think I will give it a try. I do have mitral valve prolapse, so my heart races even when I have a little bit of caffeine, so I will only have some in a small amount!

Is it good for you? Is it bad for you? What do you do with it? Just eat it straight, or put it in recipes? If it is good for you, what health benefits doe sit offer? And if it is good for you, were do I find it? I have seen it at Whole Foods, but is that truly raw?

I guess I never listed what I eat on a daily basis. It usually goes something like this: Every morning when I wake up, I have a smoothie. Usually I do yoga, go running, or some sort of exercise first thing in the am, but I had surgery 3 weeks ago, so I can't exercise for 6 weeks, and it is making me rather cranky! Anyways...my smoothie is made from kefir, a banana, some fresh fruit thrown i

Hey Kath, I just are my papaya last night with my dinner and I was also laughing about the odor. In fact, when I cut it open, my husband said "Oh, I have never liked those because of their smell". They smell a bit like parmesan cheese to me! But I ate it anyways and it was good. I think I will let it ripen a bit more next time.

I can't eat unsprouted grains either. When I was eating cooked foods (as a vegetarian) I ate lots of brown rice and cooked grains, and could never figure out why I was SO terribly constipated. Once I switched to raw foods and cut out the unsprouted grains, all of my problems stopped. It was great. And avanhall, like you, if I eat them, I just crave them more and more! It's crazy! No

OK...what I really think we need here is a moderator to tell us whether or not non-vegans are welcome, as long as they follow the "rules" (whatever those may be) or this dicussion will go on and on...and on...and on...and on...... And really...this world would be a very boring place if we all had the same views and beliefs. This world would also be a MUCH better place if people were

Thanks, Rob. I will check it out. And Lillianswan, you never jumped on me at all. Thanks for the tip about just saying "unmentionables" - LOL. I like that and I am sure I will use it! I am fairly new to this whole raw foods thing, and I just didn't know that most raw foodists were vegan. Now I know!

That was basically all I ever said...was that I drink raw goats milk and sometimes eat eggs. I hadn't realized that would be so offensive to some, so I apologized. I certainly never eat meat or any other animal products. Just the raw milk and an egg every now and then.

Actually, I did mean sunflower seeds. isn't that bizarre? They were in a contianer that said "unhulled", but they did not have the shell on them. You are probably right...they must have made a mistake. Thanks for clarifying this for me.

Thanks, marcos and alive. I completely understand what you are saying. I guess I didn't realize this was a vegan board because when I first came on here and started posting, I did see other posts that were not vegan. So, I just assumed it was ok to discuss those things. And I don't seem to be the only one that was not aware that the discussion of non-vegan topics was so taboo on here. Honestl

Hey Ally, I have a question about unhulled sunflower seeds. When you say "unhulled" are you talking about the hard shell still being on the seed? Because I looked for some "unhulled" sunflower seeds at the WHole Foods Market near me, and they looked exactly the same as the ones marked "hulled". I am confused!

Try to eat some avocados...they are loaded with potassium. Also, is there a chance you could be dehydrated? That will also cause leg cramps. Hope you are feeing better soon! Those are awful! Kim
