I pick all my greens wild, I only take a few leaves from each plant, so the plant continues

Yes. Particularly minerals, as far as I understand most minerals are not damaged by cooking. I use some dried, powdered foods to supplement the fresh food I eat, I pa

At a complete guess, I'd say sprouts would be alkaline, as long as they are completely sprouted. Nuts and seeds are acid forming and green leaves are alkali forming, so you need the sprout to be far enough on to being a green leaf! Rob

I always recommend that people take it slowly with a transition period, but if it is working for you then keep going. Don't get disheartened if you can't stick to it, just try again at a slower pace. Rob

I love goji berries and cacao, I eat them everyday. They are by no means necessary, but they are great nutritious additions to your diet and add some variety. (Disclaimer: I sell both goji berries and cacao on my website.) Rob

MAO inhibitors stop certain nurotransmitters from being broken down. These nurotransmitters include serotonin, melotonin and dopamine, all of which help us feel good. phantom Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I've also seen on a lot of drug warning labels > that certain things should not be consumed if > taking doctor-prescribed MAO inhibitors. Yeah, it's fairly strong stuff isn't it. I make pesto with it and also a wild garlic soup, see this recipe here: I also love it mixed into a salad. Rob

Although dandelion flowers are maybe not the best choice for your first flowers, they are quite bitter. Some flowers are so delicate and sweet. Lime flowers (tilia, not citrus) are delicious, a great starting point, but they wi

Yes, I love flowers! Lots are edible, some of my favourite are wild garlic (wild leek) flowers, they are garlicky and sweet at the same time. We've got an article on edible flowers coming up in the next issue of Funky Raw magazine too. Rob

I get my aloe leafs from various shops here in London. They always have a label on with this website which is in the US. I find them easy to grow, my only tip is don't water them too much, they don't like that. Rob

Anything like that in a packet will be pasteurised. I buy whole aloe vera leaves and use the gel in smoothies. I'm also growing my own aloe, but it takes about 5 years to get leaves you can use. Rob

I'm sure it's similar to your 99% chocolate. They are bitter, I usually use them with something sweet to make the expected chocolate flavour. Rob

Mmm, I love mulberries, preferably fresh but dried ones are great too. Yacon tastes somewhere between dried apple and dried pineapple. Lucuma is delicious, hard to describe, sweet and creamy. Rob

Use them as they are or grind them. Add them to smoothies. Add them to chocolate, either ground or whole for an extra crunch. Rob

Be really careful when thinking about buying a domain. Some companies look at all the data of what people are looking at buying and then buy the good ones themselves. If you think of a good name, wait until you are ready and then buy it immediately after you have checked to see if it is available. I use a small independent company to check/register domains, they are based in France (they do sp

I think water used to water crops in general will be better quality than what comes out of your tap. Of course 'they' would say the opposite, the water in your tap is treated and has chemicals added to be fit to drink, but the water used on crops does not need that. It will be much more natural water. But I also think plants are a good water filter, the water you get from fruit and veg will be

I eat aloe vera leaves, maybe one large leaf a week when I can get them (although I have started growing my own so should be self sufficient soon). I just use the flesh from inside, which isn't as bitter as the green skin. I put the in smoothies with hemp milk and bananas (and lots of other stuff). I've not noticed a specific results, but I eat it as a long term thing - the leaves are high in

Amelia, you could try making hummus with zucchini instead of garbanzo beans, I've not tried it myself but I have heard it works well, you get the flavours from the other ingredients and the zucchini provides the texture. Rob

I'm loving using fresh turmeric at the moment. I grate it and ginger, and marinate them in lemon juice and flax oil, maybe add some dried coriander (cilantro) leaf. Great as a dressing for salad or to marinate mushrooms or courgettes (zucchini). I do like to use various spices, whole and fresh if possible but also dried. Chilli, cumin, coriander, sage, basil, etc. I also find wild herbs, at

Definitely that the body can store amino acids and combine them as needed to create complete proteins. (Otherwise, how else are we all healthy on a raw veg diet?) Rob
