Nama shoyu is made with cooked soy beans, but they are then fermented, so it is 'live' again. Not the worst food in the world, but too much salt for me. Hemp seeds - depends. If you are in the USA and are talking about whole hemp seeds then they will probably have been irradiated. In Europe hemp seeds are usually raw - you can tell because you can sprout them. nutritional yeast - No soy

When I first wake I usually drink water with about half a lemon squeezed in it. Then my first meal is a smoothie made with hemp milk, bananas, dried fruit, soaked seeds, raw cacao, etc, etc. I tend to eat this around 11am, but it can be anywhere between 8am and 2pm! When I was living in Spain, I tended to eat more juicy fruit in the morning, oranges, melons, that kind of thing, but here my smo

It's interesting that the low fruit eaters are the ones attacking the fruit eaters ("Fruit is the Enemy" and not the other way round. The fruit eaters seem a lot more balanced, eg David Z Mason, etc, suggesting people eat what their body needs and not trying to force any dogma on anyone. Rob

This article is interesting: It suggests that most GM food is not labelled at all, so while if a PLU has 5 digits and starts with an 8 then it is GM, and if it starts with a 9 it is organic, it does not follow that a standard 4 digit PLU is not GM. Rob

When I have access to ripe olives (that I can pick myself from under the tree) I can spend hours just eating olives. When I first had mesquite powder (algarroba), I ate so much of it, I was just eating it by the spoonful. That lasted several weeks then I stopped wanting it so much. I still like it, but I no longer eat it by the spoonful. I'm the same as the others with seasonal fruit. At t

No. I occasionally look up a particular nutrient to see if I am getting enough, and I have done the odd day or two of putting everything I eat in. If you are worried though, you only need to do it every

There is no 100% raw religion! If herbal teas work for you then keep drinking them. I still drink herbal teas, I don't feel they have a negative effect on me. Rob

It seems everyone has a different reaction to cacao. The only way to know is eat it and see how you feel. I eat a fair bit of cacao and I feel great! Occasionally I will eat too much and not feel too good (although I'm still not sure if that is the cacao that has a bad effect on me or if it's too much agave). Rob

I had one of those Energy Bombs once. It did the trick and kept me going for a while when I was feeling tired! Although as others have said, I don't think they are completely raw. Rob

I had an amazing experience WWOOFing in New Zealand. I only stayed at one farm for about a week, I slept in a caravan powered by a solar panel, drank water direct from a spring and had use of a compost toilet. It was a very small farm just run by a couple and occasional WWOOFers. I had veg to water and pick and animals to feed. It was about 7 years ago so I don't remember too many of the details

Mmm, I just read the Wikipedia page on turmeric, , it says to make the powder the roots are boiled for several hours! I've recently been buying whole roots and grating them into salads, I guess there is more chance of it being raw that way. Rob

In the UK, seeds from wholefood shops tend to be raw (apart from pumpkin seeds which are not). It's easy to test with most seeds by sprouting them - if they sprout they are good to eat. Of course whole hemp seeds in the USA are always not raw (as far as I understand). Rob
