Thanks. I will try to incorporate your suggestions. I am going fruit shopping today. I wish I could find a store that sells ripe fruit. It seems all of the fruit I find these days is a week away from ready to eat. I will do some store hopping tonight if I have to!

I started this journey by detoxing for 10 days on the Master Cleanse (starting May 6th). I then did 2 days of Orange Juice to break my fast and then transitioned to 80-10-10. I have been eating mostly fruit until dinner and then having a large salad with some type of fat (avocado or nuts/seeds) for dinner. Yesterday, I was having some hardcore cravings in the early evening so I gave in and

I will be traveling next week and I am at a crossroads where I am unsure what is worse: eating non-organic, boring airport fruit (post security checkpoint) or bringing my own luscious organic, satiating fruit and having it xrayed. Thoughts?

I don't know how you guys can "cheat" and stay onboard. That is excellent. If I ever let someone talk me into joining for a cooked (healthy, low fat, vegan) meal-- I am done for...needing a fast in order to reboot to raw! It is a slippery slope. I guess that is indicative of being an addict (of cooked food).

Basically the airline I generally use (which is Delta) operates such that the body scan is the normal procedure for security but if the line gets backed up (the body scan takes more time than the metal detector generally) then they will start sending people thru the metal detector to speed up the process. I have been lucky like that before but the last time I flew I was not so lucky. An agent a

Thanks for all of the info. Prana~ I was just today thinking about the idea of using something other than sugar as a sweetener. Dates or date sugar may be a good idea. I have a friend who will give me a SCOBY when I am ready. Now, I have to find an adequate receptacle to hold my Kombucha. I am master cleansing right now (day 22) so I want to hit the ground running with this when I am done nex

Ancient11- Thanks for the inside info. Do you find that you have to "roll" your greens in order for them to juice? The clean-up seems to be easy, how do you rate it? Thanks again. sunlight

I will be juicing everything <with the exception of wheatgrass, I do that at home>. A mixture of fruits, vegetables & greens like kale and romaine. Being on a juice fast, I understand it is better to have more fruit based juices during the day while gravitating toward green and vegetable drinks at night due to the extra calories/energy in fruit needed to get through the day. Howev

I have been a fan of kombucha for a couple of years now. The bottles they sell around me all indicate they are "raw". I have recently been looking into making my own kombucha. The recipe indicates you must steep tea in boiling water as the first step and then add the tea to a cane sugar. How is that raw? Am I missing something here? Can someone please explain or provide me wit

Hi All: I am about to embark on an extended juice fast. I have a Champion Juicer at home which is great, but I am looking for a second, more compact (and lighter weight) juicer to keep at work so I can juice for lunch without having to hit the juice bar or go home. The juicer will be toted from my office to the kitchen daily. I have heard some good things about the Breville Juice Fountain

I have been adhereing to an anti-candida diet for the last two weeks or so and the program I am following has not ruled that out as a choice and actually, I am allowed to eat carrots and beets which are both high in "sugar". It also allows me to eat granny smith apples, grapefruit and blueberries. I figure wheatgrass would come with less effects than the former options listed. Pe

The first time I tried it, I hated it. I think it was because my body was more acidic than alkaline at the time, because now I love it. I drink bottles of it a week, all different brands including Synergy. It is so good and it makes me feel energized. I have never had any adverse effects except I have had it while on a weekend juice fast and it gave me heartburn of sorts. If left out of th

That is great news! Thanks for sharing your champion wheatgrass experience, as I have been in limbo as to go for it or not. In addition to wheatgrass, buying the greens attachment is attractive to me because I juice kale every morning and the regular juicer kinda sputters and sometimes heats up a lot while juicing so I suspect it may be killing off some enzymes. I appreciate the feedba

I ate a really clean vegan cooked diet for at least 2 years, detoxed for weeks at a time several times a year and had been vegetarian for 13 years before that and I felt HORRIBLE for at least 2 weeks when I went raw. I could hardly keep awake. Finally, I broke through and the amazing benefits kicked in. It was hard to keep going but I knew it was best for my body and I knew it would be tempora

I have been once again inspired to do a juice fast after reading the thread started by "Marsh". I didn't want to overtake that thread with my questions because that is just rude so I am posing them here. I would like to do a weekend juice fast starting Friday and ending Monday. Here are my questions, any help would be much appreciated! Is there anything special I need to do t

On the apparent ambiguity posed by Graham's B-12 comments, I believe the issue he is trying to get at is that B-12 is a bacteria which exists in nature and in animals. As such, carnivores are able to get it through the consumption of animal and animal succretions and vegans are not generally getting enough. I have heard some claim that having an animal live with you generally gives a person at

raw potato is awesome. I spiruly (the act of using a Spiraliser- not sure if my spelling is correct for this verb tense) it in an unchicken noodle soup recipe by Victoria Boutenko which is something like this: First step 2 cups water 1/2 cup walnuts (or pecans) Second step 2 cups celery, chopped 2 tablespoons nama shoyu 1 garlic clove pepper (optional) Third step 1 med

Champion started carrying a new Wheatgrass/greens attachment for its juicers this past spring. I understand it retails for approximately $90 and it is to be used only for greens, which means if you want kale (for instance) mixed with other fruits/vegetables you are flipping out (and further, washing) two different attachments or you are just struggling with the current design. I suspect it

I just acquired a YELLOW champion juicer only to realize after I purchased it and scrubbed it up that it is missing the screen holder. Does anyone perhaps have a YELLOW Champion that no longer works that they would like to sell off the parts from?

Is there an 80-10-10 restaurant anywhere? I love the food at raw restaurants (especially since I don't have to spend hours with a dehydrator), but I am trying to transition to 811 and I want to cut out the fat. Does anyone have an 811 restaurant or one that caters to a low fat raw diet that they frequent?

Hey. I currently live in central MN, but will be relocating to the West coast soon. I am raw, but am planning to transistion to 811. It would be great to bounce some ideas off of someone who is already 811. Would be open to hooking up for a meal or something before I leave.

This video: Re: Codex Alimentarius According to the video, the United Nations is taking a world-wide stand to kill off the weak, poor and elderly with nutricide. All natural supplements will be illegal- no prescription possible- if sold, prosecuted just like selling cocaine and all food will be chemically treated so it has no nutrients. TO COMMENCE DECEMBER 31 of this year.

I don't know if every co-op is the same, but the co-op in my city (which doesn't ever have what I want) sells bulk field greens by the pound. They are organic and really tasty. Perhaps you will find the same is true in your local co-op. And no need for going through the extra plastic...besides...I am on a "No plastic" kick because of the leeching of chemicals.
