I used to post here a very long time ago. This place has become a decrepit cesspool.

Vinny, the so-called "comfort" foods (which are nothing of the sort) that you've been eating are poisoning your thoughts and emotions. This is the reason why your thoughts and feelings are so negative. I have been in that place, and what worked for me was to eat a 100% alkaline raw vegan diet (fruits and vegetables only) with lots of fresh vegetable juice. This is the equivalent of b

Hey coco, What I heard was more hearsay than fact, and perhaps was fed by what you describe as BC and AW's parting of ways. Do you know for sure if she gave him permission to use the Hippocrates name? As for #2, do you think that was indeed a mistake in the university registrar's records?

Hi Lee, First of all, I do recognize that BC is doing a tremendous amount of good in the world and that he is an asset to the raw foods community. That said, here is what I am mainly basing what I wrote on: 1) BC reportedly "took" the Hippocrates Institute from Ann Wigmore in an underhanded way. I have heard this from multiple sources. 2) In a story on the Hippocrates Insti

Also, I agree with F1 that it would make more sense for a neutral party to perform the testing, if possible.

I think that what the Hippocrates Institute does is fantastic for people, however Brian Clement has a less-than-perfect reputation for honesty and integrity. This makes it difficult for me to presume innocence on the blood test mistake. It could very well be an innocent mistake, however I won't presume it.

Fasting and 100% raw diet, as well as getting away from ALL stress if possible, can heal the nervous system without medications. Whatever symptoms you are experiencing are not due to a deficiency of lithium, but to a challenged nervous system. I strongly recommend healing the nervous system using natural methods. It is the only way to true, permanent healing. Best of luck.

So after 10 years of reading these boards, I've decided it's time to move on. I find that the energy of this OT board -- my online "hangout" -- is not in harmony with my being, and whenever I attempt to address the discrepancy, it seems to eventually bring out the worst in me: hostility, judgment, etc. I've therefore decided to move on. I'd like to thank and give a shout-out t

Good speech. I agree, the mainstream (or traditional) media sucks. The question is, how do we fix it? Wait, don't answer -- I know what you're going to say.

I hope you're not considering becoming a suicide bomber, because some of the opinions in that article are very similar in tone and content to those that suicide bombers hold.

Hi cosbynian, IMO love is actually the end point of evolution. I believe that each species' consumption of a lighter diet is a major mechanism in achieving this last stage of evolution. Best wishes.

I haven't had eggfruit in years, but I remember it having a very dense, rich, slightly dry texture, somewhere between cake and icing. It's very sweet. If they're in season, it may be possible to order some from "Robert is Here" in Homestead, FL. Cheers.

Apparently I'm manifesting a flame war in the OT forum. Thoughts or comments on why that might be? If there is a person standing in your community hangout shouting irrational things, can one just ignore that?

I consciously choose to not join such programs because I know they will include produce that is difficult to eat raw.

In my experience: The only way to stop craving cooked foods is to eat a 100% raw vegan diet. I believe that we crave food according to its vibration and by putting only the highest vibration foods in our bodies (fresh fruits and vegetables, nuts, seeds), our bodies will soon crave only that vibration of food. So the best way to eliminate all cooked food cravings is to eliminate the vibra

Hey Dave, Just FYI, are you aware that commercial, conventional Asian pears are usually treated with fungicide? It says it on the side of the case. I used to peel those ones before eating. Cheers.

Yeah, I thought about it some more, and I don't think it's anywhere near as complicated as I made it in my second post. I'm going back to my first answer. The analogy I came up with is this: if you took a drinking glass and put it in a food processor, and processed the glass into a a hundred pieces, would you still say that the glass was whole?

The point of choosing whole over ground/fragmented food within the realm of raw is because of oxidation. If you grind your sunflower and flax seeds into a powder and then consume the powder immediately, then yes, that is the whole food, as there has not been enough time for significant oxidation to take place. If, however, you store that same sunfloxer/flax powder for 2 weeks and then consu

No -- it's fragmented. The carob pod would be the whole food.

You can eat plantains raw, however they must be very ripe with the skin almost black, or else they will taste starchy. You can also do a "squeeze test" and if they feel pretty soft inside then they might be ripe.
