I have one and love it!! Its the best. I make smoothies almost daily also and love the way it comes so creamy. The best is raw soups and raw chutneys. The other day I made chutney with mint leaves, onions, tomatoes, spices and sea salt and everyone loved it. Even the cooked food eaters loved it. My chutney was over in few minutes!!! They didn't even know it was all raw.. It was that creamy and

MY suggestion: Increase Fresh juicy fruits, and less salads. Most of the calories (ideally) should come from fruits. When you are very tired, juices help also. Take care Anu

I get thirsty and tired when I increase cooked foods even slightly. I eat one small cooked vegan meal (dinner) but sometime if I have to eat cookedfor lunch, thats it. Even though its vegan, I get thirsty, tired and bloated. For you, as you are all raw and feel bloated, I say try juice fasting for few days if you can.. It helps train the digetive system to handle raw fresh foods rather than cooke

I know I still detox. It is worse in my case because I am not all raw, but I eat mostly raw.. I eat one small cooked meal per day, so there is still lot to detox for me. Its been 3 + years and I still detox. Flu like symptoms, fever, nausea, headache... If I eat fries, I get nauseated and have to fast for atleast the rest of the day and drink lemon water etc., Detox means that the body is still a

Hi everyone, After a long break (traveling etc) I am back. Good to log back into the forum and see the posts. Missed you all. I don't know if anyone remembers me. I started raw about 2 1/2 years ago and I am still high raw. I eat raw breakfast, lunch and snack. But I eat a small cooked dinner. I am 100% vegan. I am doing good and family is doing good also. Just thought I will drop in and s

Hi all, My husband recently had a blood test and everything is just perfect. Except the good cholesterol level was very low. Like 26. They said it should be 60 or more. Is there anything we can do to raise good cholesterol? They didn't suggest any meds for him. Just said do workouts regularly and continue to eat healthy... Any suggestions will be very helpful. Thanks Take care A I

When there is no apetitte for food, it is great to do a short fast. According to Dr Herbert M Shelton, the body tells you when it is ready for a fast. Apetitie is a great tool for that. If you can handle a waterfast, it may be good to do that. Or juice fast s a safer bet. But always listen and recognize what the body tells you. When I did juice fast, Imade lots of juice, but I drank obly a lit

Kit, Think of it as nice come back instead of a relapse. My opinion: Focus only on the facts that you figured ot what works good for you and what makes you feel strong. I think of this wholw thing as a process. I do eat Indian food at restauants and I understand what you mean. The value here (I feel)is that you knew exactly what works. Thats great and thats what will help. Just my thoughts. Ta

Claire, I had several rash type reactions when I started raw. I also thought it was allergies. But it was NOT allergies (in my case). It was detox. I released a lot of toxins thru skin and that caused all rashes. Especially in my armpits. What helped me was fasting with lemon water for three days, and teh rash was gone. Never came after. But during the three days, it got a lot worse though. So be

Foe myself, I saw this thing on TV that Demi Moore followed a raw food program and I googled it. Then I saw sooooo much online. The first thing that made me try was Victoria Boutenko (I Thank God every day for her articles)and how her family was so sick and got better. Thats all. (I am a vegetarian from birth, but always had dairy) From the next day, I stopped milk, and stopped all cooked foods f

For all smoothies and nut milks etc I use Vitamix. It is awesome. I know it is about $300, but it so worth it. I make almond milk for the kids almost every day and it comes out so creamy and smooth without any straining or nut milk bag. Just my thoughts. A Iyer

In twi weeks, we are going to have dinner at a raw food restaurant which is about 1 hour from mu place. I told my husband it will just be us. Me, my husband and the kids. Thats it. I am NOT taking others with me, I want to enjoy the food. I am sorry you had a bad experience. Next time, go there just with your husband, and you will have a much better time. Take care A Iyer
