I think I know what one you are talking about--is it in Sharon, Wi? I really want to go!! I saw they had an ad up on craigslist once but of course you needed previous animal care experience. Regardless, I still am itching to check it out. Yesterday I went to a bird sanctuary (for Raptor Day!) just north of Milwaukee at the Schlitz Nature Center. Are you from Wi?

It is mostly in the center of my lid. I can text you a pic from my cellphone of how red they were yesterday when I got out of the shower if you IM me your number. I know that sounds weird but I really need someones opinion on this! I don't know about the shampoo...I have had different ones throughout all these months....but the thing is that it's when I wake up in the morning that it is super

Ok, so I think I have eczema on my eyelids. Maybe 4 or 5 or 6 months ago, one day out of the blue, I woke up with a very very scaley, rough patch on my right eyelid. Slowly, it began to move a little to my left eyelid (just a little patch). I have tried multiple lotions, creams, coconut oil, olive oil, gold bond etc. NOTHING WORKS!!! It itches, and when I get out of the shower my eyelids ar

I feel sorta silly asking, but is it ok to order from ? Isn't it weird that the 8006 isn't on Omega's regular website? What's up with that?

Does anyone know when they will be accepting orders for the Omega 8006 again? Thanks!

Also, just curious as to why the 8006 isn't advertised at all on Omega's official website??

that is awesome! Good luck with your coconut beauty adventures! My hair is on the thicker side so I put a good amount in. I also shampoo-ed my hair twice while in the shower because of how much I used. It wasn't an exact science, I just sort of globbed in on there to see what would happen Thanks for the shampoo advice also--I just got a rose water toner last week that I have been using inst

I also tried a coconut oil bath the other day (a few spoonfuls melted in warm water) and my skin was awesomely smooth afterwards. I liked the sensation much more than when I usually put the coconut oil directly on my skin after the shower. I could tell my skin was just supple and soft, instead of feeling and looking slick. Just my experience anyway

rawie-- Have you gotten your Omega 8006 yet? How would you rate your juicing experience with it so far? Thank you so much--both rawie and wheatgrass yogi-- your conversation has convinced me that the Omega 8006 is the next juicing purchase for me. I was on the fence with a few others but now I am certain. Does anyone know when discountjuicers will be accepting orders again????

I put coconut oil on my hair for about 70 minutes before hopping in the shower the other night. My hair is halfway down my back and it was pretty easy to run my fingers through it, even with it being wet afterwards--not really any tangles or anything. By the time I went to bed it was about 70% dry and when I woke up in the morning, I swear that my hair color was richer!! I have dark brown hair

I've been through a bunch of medicine but I'm still sick with a cold. I'd like to try to juice this cold out of my system. My nose is congested but it's mostly my chest and cough that is driving me crazy. After 9 boxes of kleenex how much more mucus can I have in me??? (Geez!) Any advice on what to juice and how much to do? I want this out of me!

OK...So I ended up getting two kits, one was the BEANginner and the other was the Leafy Sprout Mix. I started going CRAZY trying to figure out what to order and how much so I decided getting some sample kits was the way to go! Now, I can taste test which ones I like more than others and adjust my future orders so that I'm not just guessing which one I'll like. I can't wait! I spent a little m

I'm making my list of the seeds I want to order. I have 2 leafy sprouts picked out and then I couldn't make up my mind on what beans to get. I thought, although a bit more expensive, I would try the BEANginner sprout kit---just wondering if anyone else has sprouted with it before and if you would recommend it. Also, this is my first time attempting to sprout and I'm super excited about it!!!

After doing more research I've decided to start off sprouting. I'm sure I will love it and even if I don't get it perfect the first time, I'm just a few days away from another batch. I have Ann Wigmore's Sprouting Book and have been on the sproutpeople website a lot---they have so much info it's crazy! Thanks for the advice though. I think when next summer comes I'm going to try and grow some

Just wondering if anyone has one and what their experience has been. Winter is coming and I've been toying with the idea of starting an indoor garden in my apartment. I have never gardened in my life though (this 'seems' like a fool-proof way to begin) and would really like to cut down on my grocery bill. Any feedback on the product is welcomed.

I don't know what it is, but I don't like green smoothies one bit--I only enjoy fruit based smoothies. I only like what's left of the greens after blending and straining...which I thought was juice. What am I drinking if it's not categorically juice? (Just curious)

I have a vitamix and a Jack Lalanne juicer. Last time I tried to juice greens in the JL, the pulp was still pretty wet (I even saw some nearly whole leaves that looked crimped and obviousy hadn't gone through properly) and I didn't get a whole lot of juice. When I "juice" in the vitamix, I put about a cup of water in for ease of blending purposes. Then I strain the juice and pour it

I'm looking for a career change! My heart and gut tell me that it has to do with animal welfare but my student loan statements tell my brain it's not, financially, the 'right' time to pursue it. I've been looking online at some different animal sanctuaries around the country and it seems that 'volunteer' is the magic word as I don't have an official animal care background. I would like to volun

I've been reading a lot about juice feasting over the past several months and am getting pretty serious about doing it. I just don't know where to find some of the supplements they recommend like 1.Bee pollen granules 2. MSM powder 3.spirulina I went to Whole Foods last night to pick up some citrus and went through the supplement aisles but didn't really find anything except spirulina capsules.

Scratch that. I converted the Euros to US dollar and it's near $50,000. That's a big NO. I'm not familar with the ovutrac. How much is it and what has been your experience using it? Pros? Cons? THANKS!

This is an exerpt from it: Ladycomp / Babycomp heralds the development of a method which narrows down the fertile period, recognises and indicates it in advance with virtually no effort on your part. All that Ladycomp / Babycomp requires is regular temperature readings and M data (M = menstruation) The device can be used without previous experience and application errors can be practically ruled

I just turned 25 and I started with the pill my first semester in college 7 years ago. When I wasn't dating anyone I went off for a few months but for the most part it was 7 years. When I truly realized how long of a time that is...I was kind of appalled. My boyfriend has no problem wearing a condom but I still want some other method. I don't know if it is normal or not but my sex drive has b

I decided to not take my birth control for this month because I've been having really intense and frequent mood swings for some time now. The littlest thing would set me off and in my head I knew I was overreacting but I honestly felt like I couldn't control it. Well it's been 2 weeks now and both my boyfriend and I have noticed a HUGE difference. I'm not so up-down, up-down, you know? Anyway

I can use avocado/gaucamole on a lot of things but salsa I'm having difficulty with. I love the combination of chips and salsa but I don't have a dehydrator to make the raw recipes for chips (i.e. sweet potato chips). I've tried eating salsa with slices of jacima or cucumbers and it isn't nearly as satisfying and I just end up frustrated. Any suggestions are welcome!

I bought her book when I was first getting into raw. At the time I mostly liked it for all the photos for both the before and after stories and the recipes. Looking back though, that's all I got out of it. Most of the recipes are very extravagent and time consuming. I've heard that it's good for transitioners between SAD and raw but there is so much prepping that goes into those foods it can b

I absolutely LOVE having my fresh morning juice, usually a citrus mix. However, at night I don't need that same kind of energy kick. I also know that I need/want to add more greens into my routine. I was thinking instead of grabbing fruit, I would try juicing veggies instead. Here's my issue. I don't know if it was a one time thing or what but the first time I had pure, raw, vegetable juice,

Thanks for all your advice Yep, DJARUM Bali Hai.... something I so much want to keep in my past. I ended up NOT smoking that night. I thought about how if I bought a pack for "just one" that I knew that wasn't being realistic and that eventually I'd finish the pack. Plus for $7...that didn't seem so great considering my strict budget. But, I'll be honest. The REAL reason I didn't
