Adya Clarity is toxic, radioactive battery acid mined near Fukushima that contains poisonous amounts of heavy metals such as alluminum and iron, yet was sold as some miracle health supplement. I side with Mike Adams and Monarch here; they were right to denounce and take this crap off the market. Adya is current under investigation by the FDA. No one should be taking it. I see this article

For over a year now, I've been drinking Omica Organics plant-derived MSM mixed with water as an anti-inflammatory. I recently received a new shipment from them and found the words "vegan," "natural," and "plant-derived" had been removed from the label. Instead it says "non-petroleum derived," and in new text on the back it notes that " a naturally oc

Yes, health care is a human right; undeniable and not subject to "market solutions." Single-payer is the cheapest, most efficient method that gives the most freedom to patients, involves the least amount of paperwork, and fulfills its duty by giving broad, guarantied benefits to everyone. HR676 even includes naturopaths, psychotherapy, and other 'alternatives' that I'm sure a lot of r

Actually you can grow ten times more fruits/vegetables per acre than grains, so it isn't accurate that grains are cheaper or more abundant; and, actually, since fruit/nut trees stay in the ground and continuously enrich the soil, they are much cheaper than grains. If everyone stopped consuming land-hogging farm animals and grains, there would be more than enough fruits and vegetables to replace t

It is a fair comparison to bring up our primate relatives and how they live in the wild and relate to plants; people should be free to do so and live as they will. I think it is really unnecessary to consume dozens of cups of greens a day, and your body would probably protest on those grounds. Some people have also found that overdoing blended greens can be too much for the human appendix,

There are many vegan type O's that do wonderfully, even people like gabriel cousens and david wolfe, so I wouldn't take that seriously.

I'm not sure I understand--shouldn't the diet of someone trying to recover from a condition like colitis have a restrictive diet--don't you have to cut everything out that gives you more symptoms? And if your "normal diet" caused flares, than who is she to approve that diet? Why does she think that is an option still? Is it considered ideal to take corrosive medications and keep eati

Yes, a majority of US citizens, and a majority of US physicians want single-payer healthcare for the US; not a clone of the NHS or otherwise, but an expansion of US medicare to cover all people, including mental health, dental, and naturopath coverage. I'd personally really like that; it is true that there are bad, clueless, mean doctors out there, but with a public system like hr676, you can ch

There are people who have done a month of green juice fasting and developed extremely painful oxalate stones in their kidneys afterwords, so personally, I would do that, ever.

I've had watermelon blended with romaine lettuce at a potluck, and it was fine. I've also made a soup before of honeydew/black sesame seeds/mint leaves/sea lettuce, and it was really good, no one had digestive problems so I don't think it matters unless your stomach feels bad afterwords. You should definitely relax from the "one way" stuff; there are many.

You don't have to use that product; all of the original research, done decades ago, was completed with celtic sea salt; if you live near the ocean, you could also just take a bucket of the fresh stuff. Anyway, I don't grow wheatgrass, but I used to grow sunflower greens with it, and they were good.

Thank you for posting that, C. Dove; it really is criminal how vegans and vegetarians are pressured into overdosing on soy, those toxic "protein" bars and shakes are disgusting.

Suncloud made some really good points. Animal manure isn't absolutely necessary for agriculture; in fact 'veganic agriculture' which uses the plant cycle as its major nutrient source, is a growing practice. Ultimately, importing food is never sustainable, and often very far from equitable; using up finite soil fertility and water resources by overfarming not to feed ones own population (i

I really like reading your diary, about your work and diet. I'm glad your having cherries; around this time I used to be harvesting fresh, free sweet cherries off the tree (see below) back in Oregon. I hope you can get some local organic produce as it gets warmer in Vermont - pesticides don't benefit anyone.

Alot of people have sensitive reactions to the skin/sap/sap on the skin because of mango's relation to poison sumac. Also, even organic mangos could be waxed, so I wouldn't try to eat or juice it.

I'm glad the 80-10-10 and green juices seems to be helping you against those mysteries. I'm of the opinion now that I just had an IBS flareup from relapsing into overeating extremely fatty/salty/acidic raw salads. Anyway, when I juice, I think it is about 24 ounces of fluid at a time - it could be more, and I think I did drink too much/too fast of a cucumber ginger juice today. I do try not to

Thanks cocoa, you're right that squeezing it out can be a meditative process, a time to think while I squeeze out the juice, and I think it has been a peaceful experience - one where I'm not thinking so much about how my body feels. I'm finding pineapple juice (thankfully they are local and thus cheap) helps make me pretty much pain-free and able to live, though my strange (the doctors have know

I've done it before, and I'm doing it right now on my fast--I have a real emergency in my body to take care of and have no juicer. I always add some water to the blender, which I've read is good to do anyway, especially for very sweet juices. I've used some nutmilk bags, but also some old cotton cloth for straining - generally your patience decides how wet the remaining pulp will be. I know th

I used it before, but it doesn't improve anything - it is basically just organic greens that you could buy much more cheaply or grow yourself - only it is a stale, concentrated powder that you can only have a little of at a time.

Yeah - if you took a long walk without the artificial concept of "exercise" being involved, would you always immediately eat afterwords? I take many walks and it doesn't disrupt my meal schedule. Don't eat unless you're hungry.

No, not quickly; health has to be gained and maintained over time, it would just add more stress to try to quickly undue a years worth of toxins and sub-par food; in fact, a fast or cleanse would only enhance the addictive properties of those foods and make the person even less comfortable.

Oh yes, I remember once picking a few plums or cherries that were growing right on the main roadway of a small town, and I could taste (and feel the texture of) the black soot inside - yuck! Farms or gardens next to main roads/highways are definitely not well off. Funnily, I don't remember tasting the same effect from picking fruit on the streets in Berkeley, California so I think it depends on

There should be some articles in mainstream newspapers about very healthy, content raw vegans who know they are getting all the nutrients they need and who are moving forward. And if it were deemed newsworthy every time a meat-eating kid had a cavity, or seemed unhealthy? I wonder how harassed they would feel if the media were run by vegans and we blamed every single possible thing on meat-eatin
