Thanks. This helps, really. I think the key is to make small changes, let my body adapt to new ways of eating.

Ounce again, I need some advice. For those who have been following along, I still need some help. Since I started eating 100% raw back in January, it has been problems over problems. I've felt in extreme fruits binges that led to some kind of sugar addiction and diabetes like symptoms, teeth problems, low energy and losing too much weight. To remedy that, I started eating more fat but th

Very infrequent bowel movements leaving a bloated feeling and a belly and also leading to very small appetite which gave place to eating very low calories which resulted in too much weight lost. Binges was when I started to eat nuts until I was so full that it wasn't even funny. In other words, overeating with fats as the medium to do so. Why I did this? I don't know, it was just like eating c

I, Since I've been plagued with digestion problems on raw for a couple of time now, I decided to try a couple of days without overt fat to see if my bowel movements start to become normal and regular again and also see if I regain my appetite. However, knowing that fat is in fact important for our body, though small quantities do the trick, I just wanted to know how many days should I be tr

It was actually the first time I had watercress. I didn't really know about this one before now. It is a green leafy vegetable that appears to be growing in water. It has a great taste while not being to strong so I think I will incorporate some in my smoothies more often. I got it from my local produce store.

I added a small amount of water to get a good consistency and to give a chance to my blender.

Hi, I'm drinking this while writing and it is surely the best green smoothie I made so far. I like to experience and this time it was worth it. Here it goes: 1 mango 1 banana 1 kiwi 1 bunch watercress 2 Tblspoon fresh ground flax seeds 2 mini-bok choy 3 handfuls of fresh spinach This gives me 40 Oz. of the delicious drink. With the watercress, it has a mild kind of spicy tas

I was given some onion tops at my local market. I'm wonder if these are good raw and if so with what I should have them (in a salad or in smoothies). Also, are they comparable to leafy greens in terms of nutrients they provide? Thanks

My energy is quite low actually. I also have no drive to do sports or sexual drive. You've been raw for years and are still struggling with it?!

I've never been a fan of playing around this part of my body personally, but it might be the answer. I read on wikipedia that this medical practice is often used in alternative medicine but that it is not recommended to be done other than by a doctor. Can anybody explain to me what exactly are colonics, what are the possible dangers or side effects and what are the costs. Also, is it someth

Hi, I starting eating raw back in January going a 100% overnight and I have to admit I'm not yet through the adaptation period. I've gone through hard times and felt in fruit and nut binges during this time that surely did not help my health. I think that for a while I might have been sugar addicted and fat addicted and I ate until I was so full that I wasn't able to eat anymore and I waite

Hi, I was wondering about if you cut the stems of your green leafy vegetables or you eat them. On the Earthbound farm website in the recipes section, it actually tells to remove the stems of Kale or Collard greens, but that stems of chard is edible. I wonder, if they make it a point to mention it, there should be something there to look for. I often keep the stems, especially in smoothie

Hi, I was wondering if it is possible to be too much on the alkaline side. I read everywhere that tons of greens is the way to go, but can we overdo it? I ask that because I'm starting to introduce way more greens leafy vegetables since reading Green for Life and I also noticed on charts on the Internet that most fruits and vegetables are already alkalizing. Thanks

You're right, it's only 10$ down the drain, it's not that bad. Also, my local health food store sells some cheap organic unhulled seeds from here in Canada and they assured me it can be sprouted so it lives! I'm happy about that actually!

Well, I have an answer to my first question. I should read the description more carefully before buying next time. This is at the end of the description on nutsonline: *Per United States regulations, these hemp seeds have been heat sterilized* Well, no I wonder if I should still eat what I got or not.

Hi, I recently bought some unhulled hemp seeds from nutsonline.com and I'm starting to wonder if it's really raw. The info I got tells me that it's illegal to sell it while it can grow a plant so the one sold in their shell has been irradiated and that is why a lot of people sell it unhulled so it can still be raw but with no possibility to grow. Is this true? Also, I find the taste is m

Hi, I'm getting interested in diversifying my raw diet and I'm wondering about such things as sesame seeds, chia seeds and amaranth grains (pseudo-grain?). I don't see a lot of people talking about them and I'm not use to those ingredients so I was wondering if they are good and recommendable in their raw form. I already sprout some quinoa and I like it a lot. From the info I got, quinoa

Hi, I was dropping by and I thought I would tell you guys that I ordered and received some nuts from nutsonline.com today. I live in Canada and they just started shipping to Canada. I ordered them on Monday around noon and they arrived here in Quebec at noon on Wednesday. I'm very pleased. There's the shipping cost, but their products are cheaper than in store products so it ends up about t

I read a disturbing story this morning (http://www.the-scientist.com/news/display/54710/) about the possibility of the Panama disease coming back and killing the bananas we eat today. I hope we wont lose our delicious bananas like it happened back in the days with the Gros Michel cultivar.

Are in shell almonds a sure shot? To continue on that lie of thinking, why is that that most of the time when I buy in-shell nuts at the grocery they taste close to nothing? Can they be altered in some way or too old or something like it?

Hi, I'm getting used to buy my stuff at my local health food store but I'm starting to see that it could be cheaper and have a better guarantee of rawness on certain online locations. I'd like to order some nuts for www.nutsonline.com Do you people know if this is a good place to buy them raw and in shell. Are their raw nuts really raw? Are the price and shipping price and time reasonable?

After having had some problems with high fruit and trying to change my diet a little, I got excited by sprouts. However, I have a couple of questions for you guys. What do you think about having sprouts as one of the main elements of the diet along with green leafy vegies? What are the cons? The pros being the fun to grow them and the small price. What are the nutrition benefits. Also, ther
