To really follow it long term with any success she recommends being at an older age and fully adapted to a raw food lifestyle first. It also took her many years to adapt to it also. Not to say it can be done otherwise though.

Don't know if it helps, but it can be done for sure. My wife and I for a good 15+ years have no issues and never have. She eats meat, I eat nothing but fruit. I accept her, she accepts me. I wish she would make some changes, but does that make her less of a person?? Not at all. I was a meat eater once myself. Am I a better person now, Lol?? Guess the key to our success is recognizing that lif

Peel them and then weigh them OR weigh them unpeeled, re-weigh the peels and subtract.

I have read it. Great book in my opinion. BUT, that depends what you are looking to get out of it. It's a heart felt presentation on Anne and her fruit choices and her life, as well as how she takes it all to heart. It's not a how to book, a recipe book or meant to teach or persuade anyone one way or the other.

Off the top of my head this should help you - Start by spacing your meals further apart eat enough and do not overeat at those meals which is something you have to judge for you only and not by comparing to others or counting calories stick to simpler meals add greens if you can handle them as well as remember, you may be better off limited here go easy on the raw vegetables or it

Um, there is a definitive answer. Dissect a colon and see if there is "compacted waste" there or not. Its yes or no, and so far it seems like no is the winner. There might be some other bad things in there, but not tons and tons of it... He-he, that was cute ;O)

Just a few thoughts to consider: Coffee is a strong stimulant, caffeine or not, which many feel isn't the best for your body to run it's daily inner functionings for health. Just because you don't feel the stimulating effects, doesn't mean they are not there. Most people in the beginning stages of raw(5 years or less) usually think it's fine but their bodies aren't that tuned in yet. So why drin

For these practices there is no definitive answer. You will never find the "correct" be all to end all answer. No one knows. Arguments for both ways are very appealing and very believable. Trying it to find out for yourself is the best bet. BUT, are you having troubles or issues where you feel the need to have one?? If not, I'd suggest don't. Even still, you can always just try one.

How do you know it is an allergy?? Considering you have UC, why would you choose such an irritating thing such as mustard to eat?? Don't worry so much and maybe relax and think things through perhaps?? I'm sure you have learned by now that worry will cause flare-ups in most people.

Raw vegetables are trying on digestion in all cases. Most people don't notice it though and it is not that big a concern. But, in your Mother's case with a compromised colon she will be more aware of issues as well as most people with sensitive digestion. Raw Foods isn't a guarantee of easy digestion. There are many types of Raw foods(vegetables, greens, fats, fruit, skins, etc) to consider.

Hey there again Hellokitty, Just be careful with the worrying. It can and is common to start to manifest in symptoms that are brought about through your mind and not your condition. There is a long road ahead so just do your best and make comfortable choices, it will work out in time.

Play it safe and take a supplement if you are concerned. As far as injections, I would test yourself first. In fact, why don't you just get properly tested and be done with it.

You're kinda missing the point. Raw or partially cooked isn't the issue in your case. It's finding what you can handle and then sustain yourself with those choices. Veggies raw might be very trying for example, where if you steam them you may do better. The inexperienced raw foodist will say raw is the only way to go, but you have other issues to consider first. This was just one example also.

petrichor , salads and nuts with Crohn's would be a rare thing to accomplish. Why are you doing this to yourself I wonder?? True, juices are on the whole very helpful and a must try, but there is a percentage of people where the juices will cause trouble. Be careful, search out what works for you and don't do things because someone else says it works for them. It may have the opposing effect for

I feel you never truly heal. It's always something that will be there, even if under control with no symptoms present, you still can't eat with recklessness anymore. Far as being symptom free, you have your usual internet people claiming days or a week. In most real life cases with serious issues it can takes months, years if not more. It takes quite a bit of control and change of mindset in most

Suncloud I can't tell you what to do, but can only tell you what I did. I was at a point that greens, among other choices such as melon, oranges for example I could not eat without discomfort. I exhausted medical and non-medical doctors, guru consultations, etc. with all of them unable to help. I was in a serious state and felt 100% raw was a last hope at living a normal life, if possible. I've read her book, it's an easy read and not that long. You can pick it up rather cheaply still. She tends to be very vague on her diet I thought, if you are looking for exact details. It's more of a recollection of her healing and how a fruit based diet was a major factor. One of the better reads of fruit books in my opinion. Recently I was told she is still alive. I was extremely green sens

I also passed on watching. I have a father in law with cancer now, and he, as others I have known, will not make changes such as raw diets for a better chance of survival which baffles me. Given the choice and the probable chance death is in the near future, why on earth wouldn't you take the opportunities available?? There must be something I'm missing, cause I see this way to often unfortunatel
