I keep a very open mind on a lot of the conspiracy theories, and yet I'm on the fence about a number of them, and there are also several that I do reject as just too, too much (like David Icke's reptile-humans). There are a lot of secrets our government doesn't want us to know though, for sure, and it's good to read up and decide for ourselves what we think is really going on. Re. the flu sh

I went through menopause somewhere between age 50 and 55 (I'll be 58 this coming June) and I LOST weight in my stomach and hips instead of gaining like most menopausal women do. Also, although I have a small amount of gray hair (about 2-3%) it doesn't seem to have increased over the past 20 years-- it's still almost all brunette. My complexion is clear and my skin is soft, and when I start notici

>How much of your eating is motivated by more spiritual than physical goals? And how does this flesh out for you?< Khale, What a great question! I probably would not have stuck with the raw diet as consistently as I have if it wasn't for the spiritual aspect, which is paramount. I don't feel as connected spiritually when I eat cooked food and/or animal products, and so I've come to se

Rawrr, I know this may not help that much, but. . . I think you're doing GREAT!! It took me 10 years to really get control over my cravings during my transition. (Of course I was a walking candida yeast factory, but still...) I just thought you needed to hear that. Keep up the good work! I have done several fasts, and each one was different. Sometimes at the end of a fast I transition slo

Hi Frannie, Good points. Juicing has a long and venerable history of healing people with catastrophic illnesses-- especially cancer. Rarely do people use raw food alone in these cases; rather juicing or water fasting has proven to accelerate healing and rapidly detoxify the body.

Okay fresh, here's one that is pretty irrefutable: people so often comment that they feel calm, centered and refreshed, inspired or even enlightened when they're juice-fasting at a level they don't experience when blending or eating raw foods. Of course there's no hard scientific double-blind study-type evidence, ;-p but I've encountered so many people for whom this is a common experience.

Morrison, Yes!!! We have to go within, get centered, clear the decks and cleanse our perceptions, and then inspiration usually impells us to take certain actions. The latter part is vital.

Hey guys, If you want to juice, JUICE. If you want to blend, BLEND. If you don't want to juice, DON'T JUICE already! I would say this, though: if you haven't tried a juice fast, you probably can't really weigh in on the subject in the same way as someone who's done it. I know what Graham teaches about juicing being unnatural, but we live in highly unnatural circumstances, don't we?,

Hi Silverundertone, Tree of Life sells it (among others) and a lot of raw foodists are buying it for detoxification. That's why I looked it up and decided to post the article, to give another viewpoint. Whenever anything is a) a supplement, not a food and b) very expensive, I always check it out pretty thoroughly before I go and buy it. P.S. Is that Silverundertone as in '(Every cloud

We need to get a real grassroots thing going, and fast! Another thing that I believe is hurting this movement right now is that a lot of people who do believe in and use alternative medicine, raw food, etc. also buy into an extreme version of 'law of attraction' in such a way that they have been led to believe they shouldn't fight for their rights or work for change because to do so would be

I looked them up online and came up with some interesting information. Now I feel that I definitely would not buy them: "PRECIOUS PRILLS are receivers of the physical force of Love. Precious Prills both accumulate the ambient Love of the world and receive this force from designed and enhanced sources." ********************** Magic from magnesium One of the goofiest product

Hi Love, (Lovely name, by the way.) ;-D I grew up wearing make-up and still wear some, though I like to keep the look reasonably fresh and natural. I find 'less is more,' though sometimes I just get in a certain mood and I'll go all out. Not so much anymore though. If I wear dark lipstick I'll go with almost no eyeliner, or if I make up my eyes I'll just put a little brown gloss on my lips.

I wanted to amend what I said in my post above-- hope I didn't offend anyone who has already had cancer, and I didn't mean it in a 'snarky' way. ;-p Breast cancer is a serious thing, and I understand why anyone who's already had cancer would have regular mammograms and check-ups-- makes sense.

Whatever it is, it's creepy, and I hope scientists figure it out sooner, not later. I can't help noticing it's only happening in Europe and the U.S. I keep thinking about that Kurt Vonnegut book where the planet gets wiped out because of unforeseen consequences from some high tech development. Never mind-- we don't want to go there!!!!!!

Thank you, Avocadess! Bless you for taking the time to make it crystal clear and spell out what people can do. We need more thoughtful activists like you in the world. If everyone on this board takes the measures Avocadess suggests AND also sends this information on to their friends and 5-10 other forums, many thousands of people will be reached and many of them will act. We don't have to lie

I personally will never have a mammogram or an MRI because I believe the risks outweigh the advantages, and I'd rather do periodic fasts and keep my diet clean, exercise daily, etc. to limit the likelihood of getting cancer. I believe the whole cancer 'establishment' is a racket based more on the bottom line than anything else.

Hi Fresh, I know your question is for Sarah, but I just want to share an idea here re. juicing v. blending. First let me say I understand your point-- blending may very well accomplish the same thing, and it gives you a whole, complete food with nutrients and fiber intact. I do a lot of blending, and it has a definite place in my healthy lifestyle, but when I want to experience a deeper cleans

I agree that juice is not a whole food, but I have to say I also get phenomenal results in terms of improved health, physical vitality, mental clarity, and emotional serenity every time I do a juice fast. There is just nothing like it. I sometimes refer to it as 'magic' because it is so powerful. Of course you can't live on juice, but I believe periodic juice fasting-- taking a break from eati

Anybody seen "Resurrection" with Ellen Burstein (sp?)? Great spiritual/counter-cultural movie about a woman who has a near death experience and wakes up with healing powers and helps a lot of people. Saw it for the second time a few nights ago. I think it's based on a true story. I highly recommend it.

I think doing almost any type of fast is awesome and will make you a lot healthier. That said, I've tried the MasterCleanse and it's not something that works all that well for me. I get hungry, I feel a little spacey, and my mouth doesn't feel clean with the lemon and syrup. I know a lot of people have had fantastic results with the MC, but I seem to do better on a carrot juice fast, or wi

My dad has alzheimer's, and he's just starting to be at that stage where he doesn't respond to much of anything anymore-- doesn't read and can't have a conversation more than a few words. It's hard on my mom. He's in his 90s though, and had a good, long, mostly healthy life, at least from the point of 'consensus reality,' if you know what I mean.

Kelbel, I'm just like you-- I have a few 'inactive' cavities that don't change and never hurt, and I won't have them filled. Teeth often crack after they're filled. Re. Zeolite-- I read that it gets rid of heavy metals in the body that even long-term fasting can't touch. I always wonder, 'Is this hype, or real?' I have no reason to doubt it though. I'll have to read more of people's test
