It is my understanding that the more mature the plant is the more oxalate compounds it has, which is why the 'baby' spinach and chards are more healthy.

I had a slightly cracked tooth. Just got a crown, no need for a root canal. It all depends on your particular situation. Also, teeth are bones that can heal, actually recalcify. Get another, preferably alternative, opinion.

I don't use any sweetener in my kimchi recipe, though the rest of it is similar. There are so many chois. I like boc choi, baby boc choi, tat soi, yukina, mibuna, and other small brassicas. I grow them indoors in the winter in a window in pots. Other types include radish greens (Hong Vit), komatsuna, te you, mustard greens, arugula, ... I also like to grow other greens (beets, chard, spi

I had my son sleep on his own mini futon right next to mine and his father's futon. This made it easy to breast feed and for me to sleep indepenedently after feeding.

Mislu, An example: tell that student to feel how they would feel if they had the background check completed, and then continue to focus on the feeling. No reason not to spread good news around.

What happens if you throw into the blender a little chia or flax seed with the berry or apple or persimmon or whatever? Haven't tried it but it would thicken things up.

In my experience the way to get what you need is to 'feel the feeling' that you have when you have what it is. Focusing on the feeling creates the miracle. You may not know how the miracle will happen, but it does. FEEL THE FEELING OF HOW YOU WILL FEEL WHEN YOU HAVE WHAT YOU WANT/NEED. I know it feels good. Focus on it. Remember. This works for me!

You and I have a lot in common coco. I agree. I live life simply and do not need much money at all. When I do, I work. I have found there are always seasonal positions available. I asked someone once what they did in life and they said, "Live". I will always remember. And I am living well in my opinion. Peace

Coco, First of all happy belated birthday. Next people do funny (not funny) things to get a rise out of us. It is great that you have expressed your feelings! I (if it was me) would tell your family thanks for the thought but do not do it again, and again why. They may be hurt but you need to take care of yourself. Hopefully they will learn. Just my opinion. Again, Happy 40th!!!

People who raise bees often use sugar for their food. Maybe the pests are attracted to these weak bees.

Geo I send you love, peace, and strength during these times. People (family) may show up as yours did and there is nothing you can do about it except to be, be clear with yourself, deal with the drama that others bring on (mostly to themselves) in a calm way, and express your feelings (like you are doing) to those who honour and support you, and meditation will likely help. This too shall be i

I have been feeding my cat raw for a long time including raw eggs. Someone told me that this inhibits vit B absorption. I would like to hear your comments on this. I tried to cook an egg and he wouldn't eat it. I went back to raw. He goes outside so I am not sure how the egg is affecting his digestive system. The few times he has used the litter box his stools seemed to be loose and smelly.

I agree with Tamukha. And as far as I am concerned, every day is Christmas! But the winter solstice comes once a year and so does the summer sun standing still and all of the in between times, once each year on one side and the other. Every moment is to be honored, in Love and Gratefulness.

There are soooo many indoor greens that can be grown besides sunflower, buckwheat, alfalfa and clover. How about radish, mustard, kale, cress, beet, chard, etc micro-greens, and indoor parsley, cilantro, lettuce, spinach, claytonia, etc greens.

Refrigerated pickles: Most of these where I live have no sugar, are naturally fermented and very yummy. I also like to make my own for I use less salt. I make wild lacto-fermented foods with a brine of 2 tbsp whole salt to 1 quart of water. Soak vegies (cabbage, carrot, cauliflower, kohlrabi, beet, beans, cukes, whatever) in brine overnight in a crock. Next day put seasonings (garlic, (gi

As Jgunn says all plants have substances to protect themselves. The carrot/parsley family has some strong chemicals mostly in the 2nd year plant, since they are biennials, likely to keep animals and pests away so they can go to seed. Parsley bolting I stay away from! Same with parsnip. And celery is good strong medicine. I love it and consume it. Other plants in the carrot family to stay away fro
