There are a whole load of things that run through my mind regarding this development. Relief, anger, happiness, frustration. Where are all the nay sayers now ? Are they going to look away again...
This event is the tip of the iceberg, and a true inquiry in to it will blow the lid on a whole heap more than just 9-11. It can not come to pass without a (r)evolution.

I can relate with a lot of those suggestions. I have found that helping people lifts my life in so many ways.
The suggestion that I would add which I have found to be the most powerful, is to know that you are enough ! You don't need to be another way. Every reason that you have which makes you think that you do, is a learned idea and not a universal truth. In every moment you are enough !

We tend to judge what is compassionate on appearances, but I don't think that compassion can be defined by any outward observation. I think that it exists as a state of being, intention or feeling. We can recognise actions which we could justifiably call compassionate, but I think that it extends beyond mere physical activity.

I heard a story from the apple orchid owner where I worked one time, of how a cow had got access to a bin full of apples and ate so many ( swallowing some whole ) that it killed itself. I kind of agree with LaV, it is easy to make a judgement about a perceived lack of compassion and end up with more negativity than what may have been there to begin with. If you can accept yourself without it, it removes one of your mental structures ( that you aren't compassionate ) that influence your subsequent behaviour/feelings.

Well. . I agree with both sides of the equation actually. I basically stopped posting and pretty much left this board in the time of that political slugging match. Saying that though, I think that censoring politics out of the acceptable topic list is too generalized to be helpful.

Just wondering if anyone else has noticed a steady increase in the amount of health conscious individuals around ?
I just went to another raw food pot luck tonight and after having chatted with the various people there, I have had this notion refreshed again. It does seem from what I have observed, that more and more people are starting to become aware and care about real health principles.

I feel something like this about it... All life is valuable but there is a natural hierarchy within it ( yeah I do place peoples needs over animals ) . I realy like seeing that people care. I love animals as well, but at the same time I think it pays to keep it in perspective. It can be disturbing to see them in distress, but I think that relatively speaking the neglect of some imprissoned fish is a small offence on the scale of things.
