yeah, a little. It's been a year for me...it's not totally cleared away, but it has slowly gotten less noticable. skin brushing has helped too.

depends how long the "rest of our lives" is. I could eat persimmons for the rest of my life. But I'd have to trade pleasure for time I think.

fruitarianfitness is certainly an inspiration, but he won't tell you what to eat to help with weight training. When you ask him twice, you might not get what you're looking for. But his site is motivating, and proof that it can be done. my experience is that I am stronger and have more muscle mass than ever (I've been working out regularly w/weights for 6 or 7 years. Just in the past year,

I'd agree with dulset's description. maybe not such a small aquarium though. more like a river verses a pond, same space to move back and forth, but always changing. I like to list, so here's what i've found since going raw: brighter, whiter eyes. ENERGY from waking to sleeping faster running stronger (and more visible) muscles more acute sense of taste and smell sensitivity to BAD stu

huh. coco--I found that I was much more able to combine foods early on, and now am very sensitive (one year raw this month!) to anything more complex than a few different fruits or veggies at once. was your experience the opposite? either way, not a myth for sure. I almost don't have the taste for more than a couple things at once. although (to counter that), I recently had a meal at pure

Prism--I really wanted/expected raw vinegar to be the super energy elixir that it claims to be...but just didn't do it for me. lucky you (I did quite like the taste). Kim--I shyly thank you for the compliment. Coming up on one year at the end of February! it's not just raw food itself--it's enjoying myself and playing/being active, making time even when there is none for friends, and finding

I used to LOVE vinegar. really really love. I ate it all the way up until this fall. I hadn't had it for a few weeks, and then I used it on a salad of spinach, and my stomach was so angry. I'm totally floored all the time by what my body can communicate.

I'm right behind coco--I didn't mean to shoot you down WY! I also was not fasting when I got intoxicated with water. I've never done a water fast. Just sharing my experience/concern about an overdose of a good thing. I've been noticing your comments WY, and I have all respect for your voice.

You do have to be careful with water...coco is right. Too much, and you can actually flood your brain and possibly die. (I mean really ALOT of water that you drink quickly). I've experienced something nearing this, drinking a lot of water at once, and feeling actually DRUNK. But of course, this should not keep your from drinkng enough.

I did look at the experiments. I did say apparently. Regardless, the end point taken from it not a harmful thing to consider the possibility of, yes?

okay, now that I think about it from that angle, I see how this isn't such a stretch. I love the idea that the sun can activate water...as it does everything. have you heard of this: it's a japanese scientist who apparently changed the structure of water with thoughts/music/writing so that the crystals it formed when frozen were related to the message. The point is then made that sinc

Isn't some of all water heated/boiled at some level? The water cycle is more than just rain>ground>rivers(etc)>evaporation>clouds>rain. It includes the boiled water that humans drink and pee/sweat out, and the evaporation off boiling pots of stew, and even the evaporation off decaying carcasses (sorry vegan board I know...making a point). So even the water that falls from the sk

Juliano of juliano's raw in Santa Monica drinks coffee and has something to say about it... about 3:30 into it he talks about "good for you" coffee. I like watching him...but I don't know, he's a little manic. But certainly full of life. I don't drink caffeine.

when I have a little salt, I tend to overeat. when I have zero salt (or only that in celery/tomatoes) I don't crave it. I don't know what your diurhetic is for, but maybe without added salt, you won't need it anymore? My inspiration is trying new fruits and vegetables that I never even noticed before I was raw. And all the complements about seeming to "glow"--especially my eyes.

I'm too poor to do any organic--save for the occasional sale on carrots or something. But on conventional raw, I'm still much happier/energetic/glowing than on my previous organic vegan COOKED ways. Otherwise, organic bananas are still pretty cheap. And there are lists of which produce are most important to get organic, and which don't make much difference. (google...) If I wasn't 100%,

it seems that saying you'd like to do this long-term is too restrictive...if it were me, I'd break it with not just a binge on raw nuts and dates, but probably some sweet processed thing. Also, not really enough fruit for me. maybe this would be good to lose a little weight and get ready for 100%. Maybe your will is amazing. try it, but I wouldn't be afraid to stray from this for the pleasu

Someone private messaged me, saying I ought to post on my trip. So I did, but I put it in the raw diary section under "shaine's travel" thanks for the support&interest (NYC is a little abrasive after the long hot days spent mostly on the water)

I was encouraged to post about my trip to Costa Rica...so here you have it. Last week my brothers and I went to Costa, and dad came along at the last minute (which was really fantastic). We went to surf...and to avoid shoveling snow for a bit. The waves were excellent and perfect for me: just head high, always clean, and long periods between them. I was stung by a jellyfish--which is funn

the rind looks kind of green. I don't know much about this...but the last time I went to chinatown for one, the guy opened it for me with his hands! He just spit it down each section with his thumbs. It seems this could only be done with a ripe one. It was also the best I've had. Didn't make me naseous when I had the second haf the following day. Is that mangosteen in the photo too? were
